Can I Get Fruit and Vegetable Nutrients in a Pill?
Vitamins and Supplements FAQs • March 2, 2011
Question: I know that I feel better when I eat fruits and vegetables but they aren't always convenient, and they aren't my first choice for taste, either. (I know that's bad!) What is my best option to get similar nutrition in a pill?

You're not alone with your food choices, as research shows that few people actually get five servings of fruits and vegetables per day. For this large segment of the American population, we highly recommend the green food supplements like spirulina, barley grass, wheat grass, etc. My personal favorite is Swanson Kyoto™ Chlorella. A serving of 15 tiny tablets provides the nutrient profile of a serving of many fruits and vegetables. The tablets also come in a flat re-sealable pouch that is very portable and convenient, and there's no need to peel, chop or steam anything!
