Life Extension's BioActive Folate & Vitamin B12 offers two B vitamins for healthy cardiovascular support. Found in abundance in leafy green vegetables, folic acid has a wide range of health promoting functions, including promoting healthy DNA function, maintaining already normal homocysteine levels (which is important for heart health) and promoting healthy skin, GI tract and overall immune function. Optimal levels of folate are necessary for healthy cell division and protein synthesis and are especially important for the maintenance of a healthy GI tract. Methylcobalamin is a bioactive form of vitamin B12 that does not require conversion in the body.
