BASIC COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Combine 1 cup bulgur and 2 cups water in a pot. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat to a simmer and cook until tender, about 12 minutes. Drain off any excess liquid and fluff bulgur with a fork.

Good and easier than expected

Made tabouli with harvest from my garden and Red Mill bulgur wheat. I was put off by the directions to wring the water out after soaking it for an hour, but it turns out it absorbed all the water and there was no need for that extra step. It was easier than expected and tasted healthy and delicious.

A pantry staple

Bulgur is a staple in my spouse’s diet, as he really hates rice. Bob’s Red Mill bulgur is easy to cook and is delicious. So happy to find it at a good price here!
