Like it - just as good as pricier products. Dissolves well w/ no taste.
I like this Acacia Fiber product. It is 100% Acacia Senegal - not the cheaper Acacia Sayal. I tried it when it was on sale (35 - 40% off) to compare to the brand I normally buy (Anthony's and prior to that Heather's Tummy Fiber). It is just as good and less expensive when on sale. It doesn't have a taste to it, has no iron in it (like some Acacia products do) and it dissolves well. I find it dissolves best (as do all Acacia fiber products I've used) when put into a dry glass, and then quickly pour in room temperature water (or other liquid) and stir briskly for 15 - 20 seconds. It may look cloudy at first but in a couple minutes it is clear and all dissolved - the same as Anthony's or Heather's. Other less desirable acacia fibers clump and glop in most liquids and take a MUCH longer time to dissolve (if ever) and some are rather brown/tan in color and have a taste that I don't care for. My only recommendation is to have a more 'planet friendly' packaging. It comes in a 10 ounce plastic tub that could easily hold a pound of the fiber since there is a lot of extra space in there. Or perhaps use flatter foil packs (like Anthony's or Heather's) that take up less space, although they are not really recyclable like the Swanson's plastic tub is. Overall a great product for the price. No better than psyllium
Bought this after trying psyllium powder because said to dissolve smoother and more complete. Found it does dissolve smoother but still prone to getting gummy unless sprinkled very lightly when stirred in. Less effective than psyllium even when 50% more added.Mix into hot drinks for best results
I like it, but I agree with what a few other reviewer’s have mentioned - putting the mix into a warm/hot drink is best. It was pretty lumpy when I tried mixing it into cold drinks.
