Sunlight is the main source of vitamin D; but when we can't get enough from the sun try Source Naturals® Vitamin D-3. Our body manufactures D-3 when the skin is exposed to UV radiation from the sunlight; but that ability decreases as we age. Most people don't spend enough time in the sun to reap the benefits of vitamin D. Source Naturals Vitamin D-3 (cholecalciferol) nourishes your body with same form of vitamin D that the body manufactures from the sun. Vitamin D-3 maintains healthy calcium and phosphorus levels in the body for strong bones, increases muscle strength in older adults and also plays an active role in a healthy immune response.

FAQ
Q: How much vitamin D do I need each day?
In 2016, the Food and Nutrition Board increased the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) of vitamin D for most adults from 10 mcg (400 IU) to 15 mcg (600 IU) per day, and 20 mcg (800 IU) for ages 70+.
Some doctors and nutritionists recommend higher daily vitamin D intakes, especially for those at risk for having low levels. The Vitamin D Council, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about vitamin D, recommends average adults supplement with 125 mcg (5,000 IU) of vitamin D daily. Talk with your doctor about your individual needs.
