How Can Swanson Offer Pycnogenol at Such Low Prices?
Vitamins and Supplements FAQs • January 25, 2011

Question: I did some internet comparison shopping before placing my order with you last night and I was wondering how you were able to offer Pycnogenol at 50% less than any of your competitors. Since this is my first order with your company, the old adage "you get what you pay for" came to mind, but I read the labels of your products and it appears they are exactly the same as the more expensive companies like GNC, etc. I guess I am just looking for you to put my mind at ease that I will be getting the same product, only at a much more attractive price.

Our company mission statement includes the lofty goal of "offering the highest quality supplements at the lowest possible prices," and we are serious about keeping that promise of affordable vitamins to our customers. We accomplish this by using our reputation of over 40 years to negotiate deep discounts with the vendors and by keeping our overhead costs to a bare minimum.

You are absolutely correct regarding your comparison of labels. Pycnogenol is the trademarked name of a pine bark extract produced by Horphag, International, so all supplements bearing the Pycnogenol name are of the same quality. You can read more about this fascinating antioxidant at www.pycnogenol.com, and you can also download an informative brochure from this site if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader loaded on your computer.
