Vital Proteins Unflavored Beef Gelatin comes from pasture-raised, grass-fed bovine hide in a convenient gelatin powder form. Gelatin is collagen that is cooked for long periods of time so that amino acids start to break down into smaller components. They are then extracted, filtered and dried into sheets or powdered, with the latter being dissolvable in hot water for use. Gelatin contains collagen protein, which is great for hair and nails. Vital Proteins Beef Gelatin delivers 17 grams of protein and 20 grams of collagen per serving to support healthy hair, skin, nails, bones, joints, ligament and tendon health. Mix it into hot and cold liquids to support overall digestive health. Since the gelatin gels in cold liquids, use as a thickener in gummies, custards, soups or stews.
