Since Nobel-prize winning scientist Linus Pauling popularized vitamin C in the 1970s, it's become the single most recognized and utilized dietary supplement in history. But not all vitamin C supplements are created equal, and some experts suggest that many just pass right through your body without doing much of anything.
Swanson Ultra® Ultimate Vitamin C Formula is guaranteed to deliver reliable vitamin C nourishment. With 500 mg of ascorbic acid per capsule from a proprietary buffered complex that includes zinc ascorbate and chromium ascorbate, Ultimate Vitamin C Formula makes it easy to take high doses without stomach upset. But that's just the beginning.
In order for vitamin C to be properly taken up and utilized by our cells, other nutrients must be present. We know, for instance, that vitamin C exists in nature along with bioflavonoids, which studies have shown support digestion and absorption of the vitamin. Ultimate Vitamin C Formula provides 100 mg of bioflavonoids derived from oranges. Plus, we add an extra does of quercetin, one of the foremost bioflavonoids known to work synergistically with ascorbic acid. Because vitamin C is highly acidic, alkaline minerals are helpful in maintaining pH balance to further facilitate optimum absorption and bioavailability. Therefore, we included magnesium, potassium and more to meet this need. Why pay more for less? This truly is the ultimate choice for reliable support at a reasonable price.
