Swanson EFAs Coconut Oil softgels are a great way to introduce energy-enhancing medium-chain triglycerides into a diet. Medium-chain triglycerides are different because they are rapidly absorbed by the small intestine and are quickly used for energy. Coconut oil is also a beneficial source of fatty acids, especially lauric acid. The body is able to metabolize these quickly for energy. Our virgin coconut oil supplement is made from certified organic coconut oil and has 400-560 mg of lauric acid per serving.

FAQ
Q: My coconut oil softgels look cloudy or clumpy. Is something wrong with them?
A: The melting point of coconut oil is around 72-74° F. On a cool day, some of the fatty acids present in the coconut oil will begin solidifying, going from clear to cloudy or clumpy. As the temperature drops, eventually the softgels will become totally opaque. If you hold the softgels in the closed palm of your hand for a few minutes, you will see them becoming clear as you exceed the melting point of the oil.

A: 14 softgels equal 1 tablespoon.
