- Organic Gunpowder Green Tea
- Camellia Sinensis

Did you know all tea comes from the same plant? Camellia sinensis! It is how they are prepared that sets them apart. Green tea is not fermented and therefore it stays closer to its natural form than other teas. Gunpowder green tea gets its name from the way it is rolled into small pellets that resemble gunpowder. Good stuff!
Love it. Green tea is made at my house every day--usually a pot of 12 cups which I drink daily.almost adequate for the price
This gunpowder green tea has been given widely varying reviews: the chief complaint being the amount of extraneous matter in the tea and the modest amount/percentage of tightly pelleted (i.e., like gunpowder) green tea leaves (which unfurl as wholes if left to steep loosely.)The upside is the price for the quantity; with some even comparing its taste favorably with supermarket shelved brands of loose green tea. However, unless I can devise an easy way of mass winnowing the 2 mm long tan colored stems from a whole bag of this tea by using a table fan or something similar, I would not consider buying it again,I cannot be sure that these stems increase the bitterness of the tea when left in, but they seem to, at least to me; and at the very least are disconcerting There are certainly enough of them to cover 10% of the surface of a large glass coffee carafe if it is used to steep loose tea. And, you will spend a lot of time with a fork trying to get them out if you don't wish to tolerate little brown stems in your steeping drink along with the tea leaves.Judged as : A potentially satisfactory product which is seriously under-refined or cleaned in its present state.excellent
