Rainbow Research products are the best!
This Rainbow light brown henna is fantastic! I use it on my mom's fine, thin hair and it has improved the condition tremendously. The color is beautiful, it colors her gray hair nicely and has made her hair much thicker and fuller. It is wonderful to be able to get such great color and conditioning from a natural product. There is no nasty smell involved. I don't even use gloves to apply it, although many choose to use them in case of staining.I mix the light brown henna with strong catnip or chamomile tea, (and pour some tea over hair after shampooing), apply henna, wrap in plastic, and leave it on for about an hour. Rinsing takes a while.After rinsing, we use Rainbow Research henna shampoo and conditioner, which are also fantastic. They contain the best, safest ingredients and help maintain the color and conditioning effects between henna applications. I highly recommend this Rainbow Research products for natural hair coloring and conditioning.Does the job.
Chestnut was a little too dark for me, but this light brown is great. I am a natural red head, which is not as orange as I age. Had a white patch on one side and a white streak on the other, that this covers quite nicely. I mix with tea or coffee, but be careful of the black teas with reddish tints. Will have to try adding apple cider vinegar. My hair grows quickly, so I reapply about every 4 weeks to cover the roots. Nice to have a chemical-free option. Not difficult to mix up and apply, then wrap in bag and towel for an hour. I would rather walk on treadmill while coloring than sit at a salon.
