Triphala is a combination of three fruits (Harada, Amla and Behada) that has been used in Ayurvedic herbalism for thousands of years. Triphala's historical use as a digestive cleanser and tonifier has been backed up with numerous modern scientific studies demonstrating the positive effects of its component herbs on the gastrointestinal tract. In addition, Triphala has been shown to be a potent antioxidant, protecting cells against the damaging effects of free radicals.

Fruit flies and longevity
I started taking Triphala when I read about a study by McGill University involving Triphala and probiotics extending the health span of fruit flies. I have been taking it about a year now. Can't say I notice any real difference but I'm willing to try a small experiment on myself. I buy Now products because they have proven to be of high quality.GREAT RESULTS
I bought this a month ago and am very satisfied with this product at this point. I intend to make this a regular in my supplement cabinet right along with my CoQ10, my Niacin and others. My husband and I both love the high quality, as well as the prices of Swanson Products. We will continue shopping at Swanson.Trifala not as expected
I had read that Trifala helps with regularity, but I did not find that to be true for me. I don't think it has anything to do with the Now brand since I had tried it before with another brand with the same result. Everyone is different and it might be effective for others.
