Frontier® Co-Op Nutritional Yeast Mini Flakes comes mainly from single-celled organisms grown on mixtures of cane and beet molasses. After the fermentation process is completed, the yeast is harvested, thoroughly washed, pasteurized and dried on roller-drum dryers. It has a nutty, cheesy flavor and is a dairy-free alternative to cheese sauces and flavorings.
