BASIC COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Bring 1 ¼ cups water or broth and ½ tsp salt (optional) to a boil in a medium-size pot. Add 1 cup couscous and 2 Tbsp butter or oil (optional). Stir, cover, remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff well with a fork and serve. Makes 3 servings.
As a Cereal:
Add 1 cup couscous to 2 cups hot milk and 2 tablespoons butter. Cover, let stand for 5 minutes. Serve with toppings such as honey, maple syrup, nuts, and fruit. Makes 3 servings.
