At last! For years since I stopped using processed sugar and enjoyed erythritol, xylitol and stevia, I wondered when "someone" would offer a brown sugar substitute for baking. Was I happy to find "Just Like Sugar". I used it in recipes calling for the typical brown sugar and my sweet breads and muffins came out baked beautifully. I would challenge anyone to tell the difference between processed sugar and this substitute. I'm very pleased. March 31, 2013
healthier brown sugar I made chocolate chip cookies with this for my son. It does have brown sugar taste but not exactly. The cookies didn't turn out like regular chocolate chip cookies but given that this is better than splenda brown sugar, it's a trade off for your health. The cost of this is VERY pricey. $20 for a lb of sugar!! This isn't as sweet as sugar so you actually need to use more than what the recipe calls for. I usually cut the sugar anyway, because I don't like overly sweet dessert but I still! I would rate this higher if it wasn't for the cost. March 22, 2013
