Pinkies up, fancy folk, because it’s tea time! This Creamy Ginger Tea concoction is worthy of a queen, but as sweet as a handmaiden.

The base of this recipe is black tea—which comes with a plethora of health benefits—and is enhanced with almond milk, ginger and lemon grass to give you a gorgeously flavorful tea that will leave your sweet tooth fulfilled and your insides dancing with nutritional satisfaction.

Serving size: 1 cup


Ginger Syrup

  • 3 tablespoons fresh ginger, peeled and bruised
  • 1 small stalk lemon grass, chopped and bruised
  • 3 tablespoons turbinado sugar
  • 1 cup water



Ginger Syrup:

Combine all ingredients in a small pot on the stove top and bring to a near-boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes until all sugar has dissolved. Strain into a small bowl to get clear syrup.


Steep the teabag in the hot water according to the package instructions. Pour in the milk and the ginger syrup, to taste. Combine well and serve immediately.
