An aspartame-free sugar substitute from NOW Foods. Xylitol is a sugar alcohol that is naturally present in small amounts in various fruits and vegetables. The Finnish name for Xylitol is "koivusokeri," or birch sugar, a reference to the extraction of Xylitol from birch bark. Considerable amounts of Xylitol are formed in the body every day as a result of normal metabolic processes. Although it is classified as a carbohydrate, this sweet crystalline substance is slowly absorbed from the digestive tract and does not cause rapid rises in blood glucose. In addition, the caloric impact of Xylitol is typically about 40% lower than other carbohydrates, making it a healthy addition to any diet. Contains no salt, yeast, wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, shellfish, preservatives, artificial colors, artificial flavors, or artificial sweeteners.

So convenient to find the packets of xylitol and stevia. The taste is just like sugar.healty sweetner
no after taste,low in carbs,controls bad breath!good value- poor product
nothing against Swanson, but I will never buy this Xylitol product again. Weird, funky metallic taste. (And I know my artificial sweeteners/stevia/xylitol - so I have a unusually high tolerance for weird sweet tastes! ;)I usually like NOW products, so not sure why they are SOOOO off the mark with this one!I would recommend Truvia over this (I know... GMO... but the taste is FAR superior). I'll hoping to find one with non-GMO/good taste...
