NuStevia White Stevia Powder
NuStevia White Stevia Powder
The best tasting stevia I have ever had.
I put in a shaker near my stove and use it as I need it.
Outstanding stevia. I also but it in the small packages to have in my purse when I eat out. Makes delicious lemon aid. You won't find a better tasting stevia. Been using it for years.

We have tried every "non-sugar" sweetener that there is. This one is the best we have ever used. The only negative that we have found is the price. We feel it cost more than it should.

Product has changed...
I have been using this product for years but with my recent purchase I noticed the company has changed the formula. The taste is different...somewhat bitter... and it does not mix well. It sits on top of liquid and is difficult to mix.
Very disappointed. I used to love this product. Won't be buying it anymore.

A sweet treat at a great price
Our family has been buying this product for years and has found it to be a great value.
The delicious taste great in coffee or tea. It can be mixed with a little water and used in cereal, yogurt too.

Used for Years
I recommend this if you're trying to get off sugar. It's a better alternative and I use it for cooking. I find it sweeter than artificial sugar so it does last a long time.

Read the label
I have been using this product for over 2 years and my own fault for not reading (and understanding) the label. The first ingredient is Maltodextrin followed by Stevia extract with no mention of the percentage of either ingredients. Looked up Maltodextrin and was not very impressed with what I read. Maltodextrin comes from treated grain starch, primarily corn or rice starch. It can also come from wheat and potatoes, but is less common in the U.S. Hydrolyze this starch by adding some enzymes and acids, filter and purify it some more and you get either Maltodextrin, or Corn Syrup Solids. The difference is that Maltodextrin is hydrolyzed to have less than 20% sugar content, whereas Corn Syrup Solids have more than 20%. It gives fat-like body to food products, increases their shelf life, and mixes quite well with other ingredients. It's also cheap to make and produce. Though not a sugar, it still has a glycemic index of 130 by itself (table sugar is only 65).
Switching back to Swanson's own brand of Stevia - appears more "pure". Just my 2-cents.

Spoonable But Bitter
I was hoping this would taste as good as Swanson's Green Leaf Stevia Extract with the bonus of being able to measure it with a spoon. Although it is nice to not have to tear open individual packets, it just has a bitter taste. I add a bit if Agave Syrup along with it and it is okay, but don't really want to do that. Swanson Green Leaf Stevia Extract is just right, with no bitter taste. Odd that both have the same basic ingredients. The proportions must be different.

Good taste, flying powder
This product is all its claimed to be, and a little goes a LONG way. It sweetens well, without aftertaste. But take care, it is such a fine powder that it easily becomes airborne -- and you do NOT want to inhale it! I will continue to use it because it works, but I wish it were not quite so susceptible to taking flight!

I would not want to have to do without this product. We love it. Most helpful trying to limit sugar.

Never know what you'll get!
I have bought this product about five times now, and the problem seems to be a quality assurance problem. one time you get the product it is great then the next time you try it, It will not be as sweet, This time I bought the product it smells and tastes like perfume.

Not what it used to be
I've been a loyal customer of this brand for years. Problem is is that it's not as strong as it used to be. Such a shame.

I have tried all other sweeteners and they come up short on taste. This stevia powder is fabulous in every way. No bitter after taste and the price is fantastic, I have been using it for several years now and wouldn't think of going back to any other. So happy to have found it at my favorite company,,,,,,, Swanson.

Product quality has changed
I have been a loyal user of this product for the last 3-4 years. I have always liked it and recommended it often. When I received the most recent shipment of it, though, I noticed a big difference in the sweetness. I have to use much more to get comparable sweetness to previous batches of the product. I called Swanson, and they referred me to the manufacturer and gave me a phone number. I called, and they confirmed that they had lost their usual source of stevia and had replaced it with the best source they could find. They said they had done some reformulation in their testing of then new product and asked me to check the batch number on the canister. They said the batches which started with a letter, then numbers was their most recent formulation and if I had one that was all numbers, then I had an initial formulation. Well, of course, that 's what I have. I am not happy with this version, and plan to ask Swanson to send another bottle, but I'm not sure how to ask for one with the newer formulation to try. At this point, I'm pretty aggravated and unsatisfied. I'm disappointed that a product I have grown to enjoy has to be different, and that I have had to go through such a process to get it replaced, and then I still may not like it. I would have given the previous, original version a 5 -leaf rating, no problem, now, I can't do more than three.

THIS IS NOT STEVIA
I have used this brand satisfactory for at least 10 years. This new batch is not sweet. I put 4 tbs in 8 oz coffee,it still was't sweet. I poured it down the drain. Something is wrong in the stevia quality. Is this stevia or some kind of filler? I tried Stevita and it was just as bad.

I have been using stevia since 1986 when I first learned about it. I do not use sugar. I cook with Stevia and make everything with Stevia. I tell everyone I know about stevia and what a joy it is to use! I am constantly concerned about my weight so I use stevia instead of sugar in everything!!
I keep several bottles on hand to make sure I do not run out of stevia. I tell others to check the price of stevia elsewhere. It is so much less expansive at Swanson.

have been using Stevia for several years. My husband isn't supposed to have sugar so I substitute Stevia and we really like it better than sugar. and since it doesn't have aspartame, it is natural and better for us.
