Lecithin is a naturally occurring compound found in all cells in nature, plant and animal. It plays a major role in almost all biological processes--including nerve transmission and energy production. The word lecithin is taken from the Greek Lekithos, which means "egg yolk." A fitting name for this essential nutrient, for the egg is considered a symbol of life, strength and fertility. Lecithin is important for many biological functions. Our brain is approximately 30% Lecithin. The insulating myelin sheaths that protect the brain, spine and thousands of miles of nerves in in your body are almost two-thirds Lecithin. Lecithin is composed of many different components, including Choline, Inositol, Linoleic Acid, Phosphatidylserine, beneficial fatty acids and triglycerides. These valuable constituents of Lecithin are vital for the proper functioning of many metabolic processes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from add some to your shakes I like this so much more than sun flower lecithin.-burns fat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great A great product very easy to take. I take in a juice and I only taste the juice. I take the lecithin for the benefits of better mental performance and since I've been on it I have notice a huge improvement in my daily mental alertness. The other reason I am taking it is for volume but it has not given me the amount expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trusted product I look for any soy products that say Non GMO, and this is one of them. I believe this product helps me stay healthy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lecithin Powder I have used the Now Brand of lecithin granules for years, and have always been pleased with my choice. This last purchase however, was a different story. The lecithin is mostly in powder form. Not sure why this would happen, but I'm less than pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good brain food A good percentage of your brain is actually lecithin, so it follows that eating lecithin would help rejuvenate your brain. Lecithin is also known for supporting the liver and arteries. And I like that it's non-GMO. For those who are concerned about the side-effects of soy, realize that this lecithin is a unique product that is extracted from the soy, and so it doesn't have the type of soy protein that some health researchers are concerned about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great Non GMO, which is a requirement for me. Good quality. Like taste. Usually is moist which seems to indicate freshness, but not sure. Sometimes is drier (not as fresh?), but that's ok.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like this product We have been ordering this product for a while. We believe it is a good food for our brains. We really like it. Granules in my understanding would be easily absorbed plus the fact it is NON-GMO is a big, big plus, and the price is affordable as well. What else you need? - Andy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works for me ! I have tried other brands and this works great. My husband and I use this in our green food in the morning.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Granules have decreased to almost a powder I have been using this product for some time to make my own liposomal vitamin c. As one of the other reviewers stated, the quality of the granules have reduced in size. Not sure why, could be an indication of lowered quality standards. Unfortunately, it is the only non-gmo granulated lecithin without other additives that I can find. Lewis labs makes one but adds pineapple. Yuck on that one and not usable for making liposomal or encapsulated vitamin c.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lecethin I love this product. It is reasonably priced, pure, & convenient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Non-GMO I buy this because it is a non-GMO product and price is pretty good. I use it on quinoa or oatmeal and it doesn't have any noticeable flavor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lecithin Granules Non-GMO I am not familiar with non-GMO products, but I can definitely taste a big difference between these and the other. It has a natural flavor that I like very much. The price is excellent, so for quality and price it's a deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from glad to find a non-gmo I always put some lecithin granules in my smoothie. And I much prefer to use non-gmo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great i've been taking this product for about 3 weeks now. it definately helps my nervous system. i take it with creatine. i don't really care for the taste and the clumpiness, but in a shake it's not too bad. it has yellow powder and clumps for the consistency. on the package it recommends bee pollen and omega-3 supplements. i take both. i take 1/3 tablespoon with each meal.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not quite up to par I bought two 1 pound containers. The consistency is the same within both containers so I double that it is manufacturing variation. The product is difficult to disolve and does not seem interact with my body as well as the store brand product I purchased from Sprouts. However, the Sprouts product was more expensive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good for the price I can feel the difference when I take the lecithin and when I forget to. I love that it's not GMO. Most things made from soy are GMO unless specifically stated so that was a huge selling point for me. The price here is better than places I've purchased from previously. And the granules are typically more economical than the pills. However, if you aren't used to the taste, taking the granules can be a process. I have my chocolate silk ready when i mix my heaping tablespoon of lecithin into a small serving of juice. Then I chug the juice/lecithin and quickly chase it with the silk. On the other hand, I'm sure taking 6 lecithin pills for the same serving has its setbacks as well. So, you have to pick which method works better for you. This seems to be a high-quality product. The granules aren't clumpy or hard or discolored.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mixes easily! I used to get Phosphatidyl serine for a high $$$, but now I use the lecithin, which provides a good amount of 'brain food' more economically--also it's a great emulsifier!
Date published: 2010-07-12
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Non-GMO Product It's really best to buy Non-GMO on soybean products and i'm very happy with this buy. I also like that the lecithin doesnt clump after repeated openings. I will but this lecithin again .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I love this lecithin. I add one tablespoon of lecithin and one tablespoon of flax seed oil to the juice in the morning. Yummy!
Date published: 2009-11-27
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Form This is the best soy lecitin for the fact that it is Non-GMO! Almost all soy in the US is genetically modified! If it doesn't say non-GMO, it probably isn't!
