Top 10 FAQs
Here's a list of our ten most frequently asked questions.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why do some items have shipping restrictions?
Certain countries and states do not allow specific ingredients to be shipped to their location. If we cannot ship an item to your location, it will be removed from your cart, and you will not be charged. See all shipping restrictions.
2. When will I receive my order with standard shipping and fast delivery?
You’ll receive your standard shipping order in 2-5 business days from the date it ships. For an extra $2.99, fast delivery orders arrive in 1-4 business days from the shipped date. In-stock items are usually ready to ship within 48 business hours.
3. Can I return or exchange an empty bottle?

4. How many promotional offers can I use at one time, where do I find the offer code in an email and how can I tell if it's been applied to my order?
One promotion is allowed per order. All prices and discounts will reflect the most recent promotion you click through or enter. Some items are excluded from promotions as stated on their page. We no longer include a promotional offer code in emails. Click through the Swanson promotional email to receive the featured discount. Visit our terms of service page for more information. Check for your applied discount and find out how much you saved by going to your cart or the checkout screen and look above the Order Total (see below).
5. How do I add or remove an item from my order?
Contact us via chat or phone as soon as possible, and we’ll be able to update your order if it hasn’t already been processed. Your shipping confirmation email will reflect any changes made.
6. Why do I have multiple pending charges on my debit/credit card?
We place an authorization request on your credit or debit card account for the full total of each order to verify the account being used to pay for the order is open and has sufficient funds. Your account isn’t actually charged until your order ships. Multiple charges will appear if separate shipments are sent within one order. If you have questions about the way your financial institution handles authorization requests, contact their customer service department for assistance.
7. What does the date on my Swanson® bottle mean?
Swanson® brand products include a Best By date and/or a Manufactured (MFG) date. A “Best By” date indicates that the product will successfully meet the claims made on its label up until the date given. Our products undergo rigorous stability testing to determine the most accurate dating for our finished products. A “Manufactured” date states when the product was bottled. In most cases, supplements are considered stable at full potency for 2-3 years from the manufactured date. Most liquid supplements and probiotics are typically stable for one year from the manufacture date. This does not include food items or topical/cosmetic products (creams, lotions, shampoo, etc). Learn more about Manufactured Dates.
8. I received an email stating my first order must ship to my billing address. Why is this?
Swanson's, like many online companies, uses the billing address to verify the authorized use of the payment on the order. Your billing address must match the data present with the bank or credit card company. This protects all parties from unauthorized card use.
9. My order reached $50. Why am I still being charged $5.99 for shipping?
Free standard shipping requires a minimum merchandise total of the dollar amount stated in your email promotion after any discounts or sales taxes have been applied. Merchandise total excludes gift certificates, delivery insurance, charitable donations and non-applicable items.
