Timed Release Iron from Douglas Laboratories features one of the more important minerals in human nutrition. Iron is a key component of hemoglobin, and it plays a vital role in helping red blood cells deliver oxygen to every cell in the body. Each serving delivers 54 mg of iron, which is in a base to deliver prolonged activity over a six- to eight-hour period. The release of iron will start within 30 minutes of ingesting the tablet and may take up to eight hours. No yeast, wheat, gluten, soy protein, milk/dairy, corn, sodium, sugar, starch, artificial coloring, preservatives or flavoring.
