I really like this product. I use soy powder daily, so I am always looking for an organic, non-gmo, quality product. This one fits the bill....and most important of all, it blends easily and tastes great

Rated 5 out of 5 by John8 the best organic Soy Protein Powder
I have looked for a long time for decent organic powder. Either it had additives, wasn't organic or tasted terrible. Finally a soy powder that mixes easily, is very convenient to use, is organic, excellent price and organic.
If you want to save money, keep out all the additives and control what goes into your body, I would use this product.

Have tried not using for a few months at a time, but always go back to using because of the health benefits for me at my age of 71. Also, my Dr.
highly recommends it as research shows that
women in other countries have this as a staple in the diet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rr72 The only organic soy protein powder I could find
Scoured the Internet and this is the only organic soy protein I could find for sale in the US. It's not a bad price, either. Less expensive than organic whey and not an animal product, so it's a better environmental and sustainable choice. Also tastes better/creamier than hemp or sprout protein, even though the protein per gram is lower.
I was previously consuming soy protein isolate that was non-GMO but not organic. Anyone concerned about their health may want to stop consuming non-organic soy protein (that includes powder, meal, grits, TSP, TVP, etc.), as it likely contains small amounts of the solvent hexane left over from the extraction process. Hexane, a petroleum byproduct, is a CDC known neurotoxin and an EPA-registered air pollutant.
Organic soy protein is extracted using mechanical pressing, not solvents. For that reason alone, this product deserves 5 stars. The taste is very palatable when paired with fruit as well. I blend it with 1 cup unsweetened original almond milk, a banana and 4-5 strawberries. However, in chocolate/peanut butter shakes, the soybean flavor is much more detectable.
I would love it if Swanson offered an organic soy protein concentrate/isolate with higher protein content and less of the strong soybean flavor. I'm not sure if an organic process exists for refining the soybean that much, though.

It's hard to mix this product into a drink smoothly. I use a blender and it does the job pretty well. Tastes great to me though so I'll take the good with the bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AndrewSF A GREAT Soy Protein Option
My background / reason for looking for a product like this:
Being an active person who is lactose-intolerant and values good quality as-natural-as-can-be foods, I am always on the lookout for lactose-free proteins that are organic and/or amazing quality with little additives. I eat a lot of food daily in order to meet a high energy requirement, and as an omnivore, I eat a lot of animal products for protein (meat, eggs, yogurt). But I also value having alternative protein sources so that I don't elevate my cholesterol levels. Sometimes I do need to have convenient protein options, so powders like this one fulfill that need.
My experience with this product:
Having tried various vegetarian/vegan products in the past that are chalky and don't mix well to the point that they make you cough (brown rice protein, most hemp proteins, and Garden of Life RAW varieties), I've found it challenging to find to options that work well for me. But the Swanson Organic Soy Protein is fantastic.
When blended with 8oz of water, it's very creamy, and doesn't have an off-putting flavor or unusual flavor that will take much getting used to if you are familiar with natural products (on the other hand, pea protein took a bit for me to get used to). It's even better than soy milk, of which I am NOT a fan. Granted, there is no added assortment of chemicals to add flavor, artificially or naturally - this is a simple, natural product. If you want cookies and cream flavored lactose-free protein products that will bloat you like they did me, I would suggest you buy Monster Milk and designer whey options that are pretty expensive and made primarily out of synthesized chemical compounds. This protein, on the other hand, is natural, simple, and has additional health benefits than protein.
Now, this really is not a protein product - it's has fat and carbohydrates. It's more of a balanced food product. But I appreciate that and acknowledged that before buying it.
I was really surprised at how easily this product mixed. I put it into a bottle with the cold water, shake, and it's ready to go.
For this price, this product is a splendid value. AND I was lucky enough to get it in the buy-one-get-one-free sale.

This product mixes well but the taste is very bland. I have mixed it with a chocolate protein powder to make it more palatable.

We have a vegan household member whose main staple is protein fruit smoothies. This protein powder is a key ingredient, tastes great and is good for you. You can't beat Swanson's prices either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LizzieLou Great taste, hard to blend
I love that this powder is organic. The taste is great and the powder is nice and silky. The problem I had with this is no matter what I tried, it just clumped together. I tried the blender, I tried warm to hot liquid, nothing worked. Sadly, this is going back.

This acts as a plant hormone soy products (estrogen) and is also better to go to sleep. I will order again. I like GMO-free and with natural fat content.

I found this to be tasty and easy to take. I sought out a soy milk powder with some fat in it as it presumably contains lecithin and a well balanced protein in one product. This fit the bill perfectly. It was also good to see an amino acid profile listed ... only other thing left to be desired would be a lipid profile as well.

Swanson Organic Soy Protein powder is a base for my morning "Mega Smoothie", easily stirred with other ingredients (avoiding the blender cleanup in a harried morning routine), and my fridge doesn't have a week's worth of soy-milk cartons. Excellent Quality,Value and Convenience
for a highly, nutrient-dense product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by nyctopdog The ONLY one for me
I've tried so many similar powders, and this is the best for me! It dissolves completely, no gritty texture, digestible, organic. There are others with more available protein, but this powder is the only one I prefer. Soy is my sole source of protein, but I have difficulty digesting it.
This one is excellent, and tastes very good as well.

My husband has a protein drink every morning and prefers to do organic when possible so this was a good find.
Wouldn't mind if it had more protein but then of course the cost would undoubtedly be higher.
Good quality, value.

I was disappointed that this powder was relatively high in fat(5gms) low in protien (10gms)and high in calories (110) as compared with other products. On the plus side, it is organic and affordable. Also, would have liked to have it fortified with B12.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mattie Help for hot flashes
I find this the most helpful thing for reducing hot flashes. It took 2 weeks of 15 gm soy protein (1 1/2/scoops) in the blender to work, but now I'm not waking up drenched in sweat! Tried other soy protein from the store, but the hot flashes came back. Went back to this, and it's working!

first soy protein I've tried, I mixed it with milk. It taste like chalk and in all fairness maybe soy suppose to taste like that. It was 2 months before experation, maybe that explain the price. mixed with whey and that covered the chalky taste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by wholesome Best organic soy powder on the market
I have been looking around for some good organic soy powder for a long time and finally found it at Swanson's. I use one scoop of Swanson Organic Soy Powder in our daily "Power Drink", which I mix in the blender with milk, pomegranate juice, olive oil, organic blueberries and ground flax seeds. The smoothie tastes delicious and is filled with antioxidants. The organic soy powder adds a nutty flavor to it. A great and healthy way to start our day!

I've tried other brands of organic whole soybean powder and this is by far the best. I add it to my oatmeal every morning. It does not have an unpleasant taste like the other brands and it is such a great value. I highly recommend this product.

Swanson 's Organic Soybean Protein Powder is delightfully unique: it mixes easily by hand, making blending it with your favorite yogurt-milk combo a quick, easy experience; and, it tastes as good as whey gets.

Sorry Swanson's I have to say I'm very disappointed with this, after reading all the great reviews. It smells and tastes awful. I tried a smoothie and it was undrinkable. I know protien powder is not a milkshake but I couldn't try it twice. I find Swanson's usually a great value and super quality but this item was the exception. I'll keep shopping here but not for protien powder.
