INGREDIENTS: Garbanzo Bean Flour, Potato Starch, Tapioca Flour, White Sorghum Flour, Fava Bean Flour.

This mix can be made into homemade cakes, cookies, breads, muffins, pancakes and waffles.

How to use this product: You can replace regular flour with the Gluten Free All Purpose Flour in your recipes 1:1. We recommend that Xanthan Gum is added for best results. See the chart below to determine the amount of Xanthan Gum to add to your recipes. Yeasted breads are a little more difficult and may require eggs, vinegar and possibly more liquid to be added to the recipe.

Quantity of Xanthan Gum

  • ¼ tsp for Cookies
  • ½ tsp for Cakes
  • ¾ tsp for Muffins and Quick Breads
  • 1 to 1½ tsp for Breads
  • 2 tsp for Pizza Crusts

Use the quantities suggested of Xanthan Gum per cup of flour used. For example, if you are making cookies with 3 cups of flour, you would add ¾ tsp Xanthan Gum.

The only problems I had with this product was that it did leave an odd metallic taste in my mouth, and that the brownies didn't hold together as well as usual/were more crumbly - I didn't use xanthan gum as the package suggested for binding.

It was very easy to use (in conjunction with xantham gum) and the taste was exceptional. I originally made Gluten-Free Christmas cutout cookies among the 12 other cookie recipes I had (none of the others were GF) and the GF Christmas cutouts quickly became my favorite! I will definitely be making these again. They tasted best right out of the oven - YUM!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Baking Flour Mix The best baking mix I've found to date to substitute for wheat flour! I don't use very much flour at all in my home, but some recipes must have some. I won't buy wheat flour at all, though. This is a product that will give wheat's performance with a much healthier ingredient list. I'm really not happy with the potato starch since we avoid all potatoes except for sweet potatoes, and if you eat too much of it at one meal, you may get a little reaction after your meal from having too many carbs, but if you go light on it, it's a great substitution! I did also purchase the Xanthan Gum to use with it as recommended.

I am gluten free and find that bean flour is not appetizing at all. It worked fine but I went nuts trying to figure out what the weird smell was. So I emailed the company and about 2 weeks later I got a reply. Meanwhile I went online and found from othe users that bean flour just SMELLS FUNNY!
