What makes this healthy homemade granola… healthy? Old fashioned oats are a great source of fiber and good for digestion, chia and sunflower seeds add a dose of plant protein, honey acts as a natural sweetener and coconut oil adds healthy fats and keeps this delicious granola crunchy.

Serving size: 1/4 cup
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups old fashioned oats, gluten free
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • ½ cup sunflower seed butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • ¼ cup melted coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Instructions:
    1. Preheat oven to 325° F. Line baking pan with parchment paper.
    2. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients.
    3. Add wet ingredients to small bowl, stir.
    4. Stir wet ingredients into dry and mix well.
    5. Once fully combined, press onto lined pan and spread into flat layer.
    6. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until granola starts to turn golden brown.
    7. Let cool completely before breaking apart. Store in airtight container on the counter.
