Since it is an ingredient in the high priced blood sugar contolling combinations, I take it in combination with Bitter Melon,Banaba extract and Gymnema Sylvestre. Works for me.
Happy that Swansons has all the products I search for with comparable, and many times higher quality for less money.

hard to find
I am told that the only effective policosanol comes from sugar cane wax, but I have had difficulty finding this. Am delighted to find it at Swanson!
