Swanson P-5-P P-5-P is claimed to be a well-absorbed form of vitamin B6. Seems to work well in that regard, and does so at a good price. Will continue to purchase this. March 31, 2013
Best Value I was recommended to use pyridoxal-5-phosphate as I was told as we age our digestive system does not absorb the other forms of vit B 6 correctly and you do not get the benefit. The other brand was more expensive and lower dose so I have to take more pills. So glad Swanson started carrying this product. As always great products great value. March 2, 2013

Amazing This totally worked for me. I had to look up again what the activated form of B-6 does, since the results were so dramatic, and this does it all. I have been taking standard B-6 in my B complex and on its own for years, and have known about the active form of B's but did not think I needed them. This is the first time I got really great results from B-6. I am very pleased, just wish I would have tried it sooner. I have also switched to using Co-enzyme B complex to make sure this is the only form of B-6, and other B's I take, so they all work really well and contribute to my health. I can feel a big and goo difference. Tbjs B-6 is very strong and I need to open the capsule and take a little a few times a day. One capsule lasts me 2 -5 days. December 25, 2012
Swanson P-5-P 40mg The 4 I gave in effectiveness is because I don't know how to technically measure the effectiveness & it 'may' be effective at a higher mg; but, I am not sure about this. The education that Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate is supposed to be a more effective version then B-6 pyrodoxine alone is very good, so I'm glad P-5-P is available to us. From the education, to get the opportunity to buy the 3 affordable bottles at 40 mg from Swanson I have bought now saved me some time & trouble having to keep going on looking for the product. I would like the higher mg's to be sold & was wondering if there was a scientific (or otherwise) reason why P-5-P is available at such a lower mg [?], but am glad for the research done & availability/affordability of the product.
