This unique probiotic dietary supplement is Swanson Health Products' first oral probiotic formula ever. It features a special strain of S. salivarius called BLIS K12, which was developed by BLIS Technologies of New Zealand. BLIS K12 is a beneficial bacteria that is naturally found within the oral cavity and is proven to promote good oral health, support immune system defense functions (key for seasonal wellness support) and protect against the proliferation of bacteria that can cause bad breath. BLIS K12 has been involved with several clinical studies and been included in more than 30 published scientific papers. The theory behind BLIS K12 oral probiotic formula is that when taken regularly, it can help support upper respiratory health and the health of the throat and the oral cavity itself.

FAQ
- How can probiotics support oral health?
Oral probiotics are beneficial bacteria specifically selected to help support a healthy balance of microorganisms in the mouth. Swanson Oral Probiotic Formula is designed to help support oral microbiome balance, fresh breath, and overall oral wellness as part of a daily oral hygiene routine. Maintaining a healthy oral environment may help support long-term oral health and wellness. - Can probiotics help support fresh breath?
Yes. Swanson Oral Probiotic Formula contains beneficial probiotic strains commonly used to help support a balanced oral microbiome and fresh breath. By promoting healthy bacterial balance in the mouth, oral probiotics may help support oral freshness as part of a complete oral care routine that includes brushing and flossing. - How is a probiotic designed for oral health different?
Probiotics designed for oral health are formulated with probiotic strains selected specifically for the oral cavity rather than the digestive tract. While traditional probiotics primarily support digestive and gut microbiome health, oral probiotics are designed to help support healthy bacteria in the mouth, gums, tongue, and throat for targeted oral wellness support. - How do I take Swanson Oral Probiotic Formula?
Adults typically allow one chewable tablet to dissolve slowly in the mouth after brushing teeth or as directed on the product label. Allowing the probiotic to remain in contact with oral tissues helps support colonization of beneficial bacteria throughout the mouth and oral microbiome. For best results, avoid eating or drinking immediately after use. - Can I take a probiotic for oral health every day?
Many adults incorporate probiotics into their daily wellness and oral care routines for ongoing support of oral microbiome balance, fresh breath, and overall oral health. Consistent daily use may help support a healthy oral environment over time as part of regular dental hygiene practices. - Is Swanson Oral Probiotic Formula suitable for specialty diets?
Yes. Swanson Ultra Oral Probiotic Formula is formulated to accommodate a variety of dietary preferences and wellness lifestyles. This oral probiotic supplement is non-GMO and vegan, making it a convenient choice for individuals seeking plant-based support for oral microbiome balance and overall oral wellness. The formula contains no animal-derived ingredients and is designed to fit seamlessly into many daily wellness routines.
