Excellent form of B-12!
This is a very effective and affordable form of B-12. The methylated form is much better utilized by the body. The tablet does dissolve slowly under the tongue - BUT THAT IS A GOOD THING because there is longer contact time with the blood vessels under the tongue to maximize absorption via the sublingual route. If it dissolves into solution too quickly you'll most likely end up swallowing more of it via the oral route - a less efficient mode of absorption.
It takes a little longer to dissolve than other brands but still dissolves in a reasonable amount of time. All in all, this is excellent B-12 and I take it every few days (not everyday since B-12 is stored by the liver and this 5000 micrograms is a pretty big dose) and it gives me a good recharge. I am 45 years old, weigh 183 lbs and am very physically active and this dose fits me right. You'll need to find the dosing/frequency protocol that suits you best.

Pills don't dissolve!
These are supposed to be sublingual, dissolving under the tongue for best effectiveness. They are So slow to dissolve that I have had to swallow them all. Even when I bite them into smaller pieces, they still refuse to dissolve. Very annoying.

Good Form of B-12 and Great Price
This particular form of Vitamin B-12 is a methylated version and therefore more readily assimilated by the body. Superior to other forms of B-12 such as cyanocobalamin (which I dumped in the trash), methylcobalamin is the way to go. Swanson's price is the best. Do your reseach before buying supplements, and don't waste your money on poor quality. High quality combined with good price equals great value.

Thank you Swanson vitamins! I love the quick service and the quality products. Even though this doesn't dissolve as fast as the cheaper Vitamin B, I think it's worth it. I just chew it a little bit and then push it under my tongue instead of swallowing.

Not my favorite
I much prefer the taste of Twin Labs Methylcobalamin 5mg tabs over these. These tabs are also much bigger, even though they are the same strength as Twin Labs'. Along with, or because of, being bigger, they also take longer to dissolve under the tongue. So, I have a product for which I don't care for the taste and then it lasts longer in my mouth. Yuk! As much as I very much like most all of my other Swanson's products, next time I will go back to Twin Labs' for Methycobalamin.

Good Vitamin
This B-12 vitamin is great. It is a sublingual one and tastes very good, while providing a good amount of B-12. It's the best B-12 I have ever taken.

Methylcobalamin

Not very convenient
I just find that since you have to let the pill melt in your mouth for 10 minutes it take away from the overall experience. I will not buy it again jst for that

Glad I got these B-12
The Swanson Methylcobalamin B-12 I got in October, 2012, dissolve quickly and easily and taste great.
I am pretty sure without supplementation I was not getting enough B-12. Most multi vitamins use the cyanocobalamin form that is less well absorbed than this type.
Since the positive effects of B-12 can be subtle, I really cannot comment there.

Best kind of B-12
While I didn't feel any difference after taking this product, I don't usually feel any different when I take ANY kind or brand of B-12. But after reading up on the best, most absorbed type of B-12, this is it. It does take awhile to dissolve under the tongue, so be prepared for that. It doesn't bother me.
