Effective
This dual release 3mg. formula by Swanson's works for me when I'm stressed or worried and can't sleep, while the Natrol 5mg. extended release did not, for some reason.

Excellent, very worthwhile, product!!
Most always get an excellent, long night's sleep when I took one of these before bed. Once it kicks in (about a half hour after after taking), be ready to sleep!! Thanks, Swanson!!

helps me feel great
This formulation has the lowest dose of melatonin I have been able to find, yet helps me sleep soundly. I fall asleep in a few minutes and am able to go back to sleep after bathroom trips. Keeps my energy level at its highest.

Dual release Melatonin
We use this product to improve the quality of our sleep and find it to be the only product which really works to get a full night sleep. This is a great product.

Use with Caution
I just finished my first and probably only bottle of this particular type of melatonin. It does work very well. The only problem I experienced was a cumulative daytime sleepiness if I used the product more than one or 2 days in a row. Possibly the 3 mg dose is too much for me.
The only other hesitation I have about this product is the number of additives which are probably necessary to make it "time released". Because of that I have switched to a melatonin spray which I like better.

Best product
I've always had issues with getting a restful night of sleep. I work overnights and when I'm off I like to catch up on sleep that Ive lost over the week. This product allows me to catch up on that sleep. While consulting my physician he suggested using this product due to its less likely chance of affecting mood and addiction to it. Best product i've ever purchased.

Dual-Release Melatonin
Since I began using dual-release Melatonin, I have been able to fall asleep quickly and to get the rest that I need. I am very happy with the results I have gotten.

Great product
My mom and I have tried several types of melatonin but this product not only helps you fall asleep, it helps keeps you asleep (dual action). I highly recommend this product.

besy way to take Melatonin
The dual release is the only way to take it as it keeps you asleep all night with the time-release. I would wake up half way through the night with regular Melatonin. Also, reported to increase GH production. Great stuff. Careful this is a hormone-take it when you really need it.

being time released, you do not wake up when the initial dose wears off! It is a wonderful, restful sleep!

A+++ Product
I had been using Swanson Ultra Dual-Release Melatonin for a few months, when I accidentally let my supply dwindle and I was forced to purchase a replacement product locally. Even though it claimed to be dual release, my sleep was not was it was when taking the Swanson product. I am thoroughly sold on Swanson's Ultra Dual-Release Melatonin. I find that I sleep more soundly throughout the night and haven't had issues with sleeplessness which otherwise occur when I don't take it. A+++ Product!

Had the opposite effect !
This product claimed to be a time release version of melatonin. I actually woke up less then two hours after falling asleep and had a friggin panic attack due to this product. It really messed me up nice. I had the most groggy head I have ever had from a melatonin product and I had this sick diabetic like feeling of nastiness. I never got back to sleep. I will also never take this product again and regular melatonin actually lets me sleep and feel much better then this product did.

Please bring back old formula
I agree with a couple of other reviewers. This product used to come in a pink and white pill, and it worked like magic. I wasn't sure I had received the right product last month when it arrived with yellow and white pills.. They do not work as well. I haven't had one good nights sleep since receiving them. I thought I must have ordered the wrong item until I read that other customers have experienced the same problem. Swansons, please bring back the old formula.. This one does not work!!!!

Experimenting with Dose
I had an immediate improvement in sleep. I like the dual release strategy which is better even than timed-release.
However, two of first seven days I awoke with headache. This dosage may be a bit too strong for me.

Disappointed
I have to agree with reviewer crx81, they have changed the formula and now the tablets are white/yellow. When they were the pink tablets they worked awesome! I have used these for over a year and loved, loved, loved them... this month I received a bottle of the new formula and I haven't slept well since. So disappointed. Please bring back the old formula with the pink tablets!

The time released melatonin is awesome. It helps me fall asleep and stay asleep much longer than I usually do. I highly recommend it.

What happened!?!?
Apparently, not just the color and texture have been changed. This WAS the only melatonin supplement that worked for me, and I recommended it to everyone at work as we work at night and (try to) sleep during the day. However, the recent changes have definitely not been for the better, as the effectiveness of the new version is definitely less than the older, pink/white ones. PLEASE, PLEASE change these to what they once were!

Helps stay asleep
I really think the dual action helps me stay asleep longer. When I do have to get up in the middle of the night, I feel it helps me get back to sleep, too. It's not scientific, but I can tell the difference between just the regular melatonin and this dual-action variety.

I like this melatonin since it is dual release. I can take it about 30 minutes prior to bedtime and it helps me feel like I am ready to sleep.

You won't go back
I didn't realize how much I liked this time-release formulation until my experimental bottle was done and I went back to the old standby regular stuff (I've been using melatonin for 20 years or so; the last 15 of which has been with Swanson). Now I notice that I'm waking up earlier (and tired-er). The regular stuff puts me to sleep but doesn't help me stay asleep once daylight hits. So I"m going back to the time release as soon as I can. I'm sold.

If you want a good night's sleep buy this!!
I have been using this product for nearly a year and I've been sleeping so good ever since. Unlike regular melatonin, it releases the product in different stages, so it insures you sleep all night. I may have to get up a time or so, but I go right back to sleep. I highly recommend it for anyone having trouble sleeping. I take it about an hour before bedtime, and I can barely keep my eyes open. It is just great.

Finally something that works
After using regular melatonin for a number of years with limited success, I tried Swanson's dual release melatonin and am finally getting a good night's sleep. Excellent product.
