DHEA-S test results
I began with 50mg/day of this DHEA. After taking it for about 4 months I felt no change and increased the amount to 100mg/day for 8 months. After 1 year my blood work showed my DHEA-S level was 262.6 ug/dL. Optimal DHEA-S for a male is 400-500 ug/dL. I switched brands and took micronized DHEA 50mg/day for 5 months. My most recent blood work showed my DHEA-S level was 527.9 ug/mL. Micronized DHEA from Europe appears to be more effective at bringing DHEA-S levels into the optimal range.

Good product with competative price
It may work for you or may not, it depends on your hormone profile. Production of DHEA decreases with age so i could recomend to take it after 35 yo.

Good Pre-workout jote

A must have for guys over 40
I would recommend adding this to your regimen regardless of your workout regimen. I noticed an energy drop working out and in the bedroom, added DHEA and will not drop it. It takes about a 2-3 weeks to get into your system, after about a month you can feel the difference and it works. My workouts are great in both respects.

DHEA seems to work
I have read conflicting information about DHEA, as to whether it is effective or not. For me it seems to work. I feel more energetic and alert. Swanson's DHEA is a very good value.

Placebo Effect for Others- Doesn't Work
The product doesn't work for me. I wonder if Placebo effect is working on others writing reviews. I don't notice ANY difference (good or bad) mental or physical with daily doses of a high mg qty.

Will use forever
In an article, Dr. Mercola said that DHEA would not be effective if taken orally as opposed to another method, so I quit. About 2 weeks later, I noticed that my energy and overall libido was lacking. I started my DHEA again and I am back to normal! I will not go without and I will continue to take orally!!

I goofed
I normally take the 25 mg tablets, 3 a day. This 100 mg tablet that I mistakenly ordered is really too much. Of course, this is not Swanson's fault, but I wouldn't recommend this high a dose for anybody starting out or someone that is not familiar with this product.

No Absorption

I really notice a difference in my energy and mood when I take this. I'm just learning about hormones, and I won't take this high of a dose long term, but it's great to start on...
