Great Product This calcium orotate is an excellent product, I just wish there were more pills in one bottle with a reasonable price attached. My husband and I are taking this product but having to take 2 each day (4 total for both) we run out quickly. I bought 4 bottles but we're plowing through them quickly! I cannot find this locally and I really like only taking 2 a day vs. 4 or 6 of other brands. Please make larger quantity! February 11, 2013
Too strong for me I am a small woman and this calcium was too strong for me. It made me feel sick and taste metal. I had to pour out half the capsule and then take it, which is a pain. My knees felt amazing with it though. But then my stomach started burning a lot. In all fairness I am very allergic to vit C and sulfur, so there is a possibility of a cross reaction from the processing required to make this calcium. It is one of the best calciums you can take and if it was in a half dose and my stomach didn't hurt, I would so be taking it every day faithfully. October 24, 2012
Orotate Form Calcium seems to be the most difficult mineral to get the body to absorb, and of the alkaline minerals (after potassium) we need a considerable amount of calcium. There's been a whole lotta hype about how to get calcium into the bloodstream. FORGET about the CITRATE and CARBONATE FORMS - use the orotate form/s instead! If you want hard evidence, start doing PH testing of your urine and with the different forms of calcium, checking each form... If you read up on Alkalizing the body, you'll learn a lot about minerals and urine testing is explained etc. Swanson's sell PH Testing tape... Carbonate and citric forms of calcium barely make a dent for me - I started the orotate form (2 a day) and my alkaline level (absorption level) went right up! I figure I could have only been absorbing about 20% of the citrate form (taken with acidic meals) and must be absorbing a good 90% or more of the orotate. There is no comparison, and I'll never buy anything but the orotate form again.. This mineral is to important to neglect like that! Swanson's has done an excellent job with this product (and their other orotate minerals). May 5, 2012
