  • New Spiceutical™ Technology turns ordinary curcumin into CurQfen with up to 20X better absorption

  • Added fenugreek offers innovative solution for improved bioavailability of curcuminoids

  • Benefits confirmed by advanced scientific research

Curcumin has been consumed by human populations for centuries as the popular spice turmeric root used in cooking, and later on as a concentrated dietary supplement. But what good are its impressive capabilities if it simply passes through the GI tract unabsorbed by the body? Although many studies on curcumin attest to its overwhelming potential, curcumin alone is difficult for the body to absorb. Swanson® Controlled Release CurQfen provides a new solution to unlocking the massive antioxidant potential found in curcumin. A unique blend of soluble dietary fiber isolated from fenugreek seeds combined with curcuminoids, and using the patent pending, state-of-the-art FenuMAT™ Technology, allows the body to slowly absorb the colloidal curcuminoids as they release into the intestines. CurQfen has, on average, been found to offer up to 20 times more absorption than 95% of unformulated curcuminoids! Maximize your body's ability to take in the powerful nutrient curcumin with the increased absorption of Swanson Superior Herbs Controlled Release CurQfen.

Confusing Label Why doesn't Swanson put an actual # of mg after the 35% standardization of curcumin? Forcing potential buyers to calculate these percentages is a waste of our time. Please do this in the label description, within the ( )'s , i.e., "[turmeric extract (Curcuma longa) (rhizome) (standardized to minimum 35% curcumin (yields 175mg))". This is will go a long way in helping your customers do Swanson brand comparisons on your website. February 10, 2014
curcumin content of capsule is ??? Label says 500 mg curqfen per capsule. Curqfen contains unstated #mg of curcumin Rhizome which is standardized to 35% curcumin. So the label does not specify the amount (mg/capsule) of curcumin. Swanson has had plenty of time to clear up this issue but has failed to do so. Product swh084 (label) contains 875 mg rhizome standardized to 95 % curcuminoids (73-83% of which is curcumin): which may indicate a capsule content of approx 600 mg curcumin minimum. If curqfen is 20x as absorbable as swh084 it would contain 30mg/cap of curcumin. Swansons ambiguous label caused me to waste an hour composing the foregoing. January 26, 2014
Seems good Seems good, but who really knows. I'll stick with it though. The premise makes sense. January 1, 2014
Exceptional product We have been very satisfied with this product. Exceptional quality and value! December 4, 2013
All hype? Not completely... I know everyone is different. Various items seem to work better for some than others. I have taken curcumin from a number of different suppliers. While I will say this one was more effective than the others at equal dosage, I'm not certain it is enough to justify the cost difference. One oddity I noticed was, it isn't being completely digested by my body which I've never had an issue with before with either fenugreek or curcumin. I have all my internals and they all function well plus I take enzymes and probiotics daily. Overall, I would say that if you don't mind paying a lot more, this may be the most potent form of curcumin available. November 3, 2013
