Bad aftertaste
I could not stop belching up the garlic taste after taking this. Could no longer take it.

My mistake...
I made this product choice when I was in a hurry, to replenish my dwindling existing bottle of garlic oil. My mistake was in choosing a garlic oil that did not include the description "odorless". My goodness, I'm sure this is a fine product, however, the burping of garlic all morning is a bit much. Next time I will make sure the label reads "odorless"!

You definitely get your money's worth!
Why? Because if you take the reccommended dose, you have 500 days worth, or about a 1 year and 4.5 months supply per bottle.
Another thing to consider is, from the reserach I've done on garlic, a component of what makes garlic so smellly is allicin, which also has a list of health benefits. I reccomend looking up the great health benefits, and risks, of garlic.
These pills are stinky! If you place them in a pill box, anything that's sharing the same compartment may become "garlic-y" smeling too, which has happened to me.
Bottom line: If you want more than a year's supply of garlic pills in softgel form, then you're just a click away from ordering them. If you do not want that many, there's smaller amounts you can buy, or just buy this bottle, and share with your freinds!

I should have read the description
I didn't realize the product was not odorless. It probably is doing me good, but a year and half from now when the bottle is empty. I will definitely get the odorless version.

Easy & effective garlic supplement
It doesn't get much easier than this.
These small capsules are loaded with the real thing, not some dried powder that has questionable benefit.
After taking several other garlic pills and supplements over the years, I am so glad I discovered this quality product from Swanson.
It is priced very reasonably, and has become a staple in my daily supplement regimen.
If, like me, you believe in the cardio and many other health benefits of taking garlic, then you owe it to your self to try this product.

Really Great
I really like this product. The only thing is that I thought I had bought the orderless capsules. Just make for sure that you take this at night other wise you will smell like garlic for a while. But the product as whole is super.

Strong garlic odor and taste
I started buying from Swanson a few months ago. Had been buying for years from another online seller but got tired of their pricing gimmicks.
Based on previous reviews I thought this item would be similar to an odorless/flavorless 1000 mg soft gel I had been getting from the other company. It is not. I don't know what the other reviewers were trying but this one has a very strong garlic odor and taste. No one in my familiy will take because it makes you taste garlic all day long. No way I could take more than one/day. If that doesn't bother you then this product is fine.
So now we're using the remainder on the dog's food, who obviously loves it. Too bad. Every other Swanson product I've tried to date has been fine.

I take it to avoid flying insects.
It works. Being a deep woods wanderer I find insects distract and can cause unpleasant times. Taking garlic prior to my jaunts seems to have worked, haven't been bitten since.

Garlic Oil capsules
I like these alot - but I take alot more than the recommended amount. I usually take at least 10 - 12 at a time in order to get the higher dosage that I feel is critical. They are easy to swallow. I don't notice much of a garlic after taste with them after about 5 minutes. I also combine these with one of the Swanson garlic capsules that are in the powder form. I feel each type has certain benefits.

Garlic Oil 1500 mg Equivalent
These are small and easy to swallow, without objectionable flavor. This product is lest likely to repeat on you especially if you aren't going to take it with substantial food and drink which I recommend. I prefer the Odor-Controlled Garlic Capsules to this because the flavor isn't objectionable, is easy to swallow and is a whole garlic product which I believe to be the most effective. Stay away from the Odor-Controlled Garlic Tablets which have considerable flavor.

Great Value!
I've been paying much more for equal garlic capsules. I appreciate the value I find here on everything at Swansons.
I love the flavor of garlic, but you might belch them and taste it slightly. Its not bothersome to me though.

Bug Determent
Puncture the softgel with a pin and squeeze over your cats' or dogs' food to discourage fleas and ticks. Also, it will protect you against mosquitos and no-see-ums. But it has to be the kind that does have an odor.
