Rated 5 out of 5 by FitDoc1 VIT. C POWDER WITHOUT THE ACIDIC TASTE
I really like this Magnesium Ascorbate Vit. C Powder for a number of reasons. Fist, I like to include Vitamin C in my Health / Wellness / Fitness "Cocktails," one of which I have daily.
The one with all Amino Acids Powders, plus nutrients like Ribose, MSM, and Creatine is fine with regular Vitamin C Powder, because the Swanson AKG Arginine Powder has a good, sweet lemon-lime flavor, and the Ribose is also sweet, so it all works together. I make this "Cocktail" in pure water.
However, my other "Cocktail" contains Spirulina and Yaeyama Chlorella Powders, plus Organic Cacao and Ceylon Cinnamon Powders, along with Amla and Ashwagandha Powders. Then there is a scoop of Swanson's wonderful grass-fed Whey Protein Concentrate Powder (in either Vanilla or Chocolate) and 3 heaping tsps of whole Psyllium Husks. Those flavors aren't compatible with the acidic, very sour regular Vitamin C Powder, so this MAGNESIUM ASCORBATE VITAMIN C POWDER is the perfect solution. It has no flavor of its own, and it is non-acidic.
Swanson's Mag. Ascorbate C Powder comes with a little scoop in the jar. 5 of those little scoops = a teaspoon, so I add 5 scoops to my "Cocktail." This not only gives me the amount of Vitamin C that I want at that time, it also gives me an extra 400 mg. of Magnesium in a form that I like. We all know how important Magnesium is; I'm glad to get this Mag. bonus.
SWANSON'S MAGNESIUM ASCORBATE VITAMIN C POWDER is an Excellent, Versatile way to add additional Vitamin C to one's daily nutritional regimen. I like it a lot. Works for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Abbycat Works fast
I usually take this just before I go to sleep. I helps me relax better. I find that this powder works faster than the pills. It is also a better value. That is why I keep ordering it. My kids take it now too. It has a nice tart taste at first, but if you don't like it, just wait a few minutes and it goes away.
I also like how I can adjust every dose to my needs for the day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by bijoujune great product poor shelf life.
I normally make my own magnesium ascorbate, in small batches. it is white. I ordered your premixed as it was buy one get one. I opened it it and it was yellow. I used it and it seemed to do nothing for me or my husband who both depend on high-dose vitamin c. Even though it was one free it was a waste of money..

Mixes well with my homemade lemonade and it's not acidic so won't upset my stomach. I use it throughout the day to spread my daily dose of Vitamin C evenly.

A cool way to get Vit C without any gastric reaction.
Cute little 1gm measuring spoon does discolor with contact to air...... so I leave it inside container.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zooma C My Skin!
I love taking this product with about 2-4 oz. of juice. But my favorite use for this powdered C is to wet my skin and rub the C crystals all over my body, relax on a bg beach towel on the floor for about ten minutes, and then take a shower. Oh, how my skin loves this! You can have a clay facial, (I love them too), but this is the best mask of all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by nightlight Good combo, stability issue
This is an excellent combination of Magnesium and Vitamin C. I have used it for making Liposomal Vitamin C in the same way as Sodium Ascorbate.
The only issue is a very quick oxidation in the water -- if stirred (with plastic spoon) for couple minutes in distilled water in order to fully dissolve the powder, the liquid turns black and has a very tart unpleasant taste. The only workaround (that still seems to oxidate some Vitamin C, judging by the darkening of the liquid) was to put it right away into lecithin mix, run it for 10-15 seconds in the blender, and sonificate without fully dissolving in water first.
I hope the Swanson and manufacturer can work out more stable formulation for water solutions. Or maybe provide a suggestion on improving stability for of water solutions (optimal pH, temperature, add glycerine?) Otherwise it is a great combination of ingredients.
