As a vegetarian, I've found this to be a good source of protein that can be used in many ways. This has a very mild yellow pea flavor that works very well when used in homemade soup, vegetarian chili and cornbread. I also use this mixed with other protein sources, fruit and a variety of other tasty ingredients to make smoothies, pancakes and tofu pudding.

This not as tasty, it has a strong not so good after taste to it .but you cant beat the nutrition facts.id recommend to anyone buying a protein powder without the extra fat ,sodium ,etc.The taste can be masked with a blend of your favorite fruits and veggies with a teaspoon of Cinnamon powder you have a completely brand new taste to it. btw really good!!

This vegan protein powder suits my needs perfectly. It doesn't taste very good, but I have found the following method of preparation makes it more palatable. Instead of mixing one scoop (provided) in 8 oz. of cold water, either use 16 oz. of warm water or split the scoop in two and drink half in 8 oz. of warm water with one meal and half with another. For some reason, warm water takes the edge off the taste better than cold and drinking it with a meal helps keep the taste from lingering in my mouth afterward. I have also mixed a scoop in with chili and the spices mask the taste very well. I've found it difficult as a vegetarian dieter to balance my nutrients (fat, carbs, protein) and this powder has helped immensely.

This protein powder provides more protein for the calories than most. It is easy to add to just about anything. I use it in my protein shakes, add some to my oatmeal, and in baked goods.
The reason I only gave it 4 leaves for satisfaction is that there's no fiber.

Rated 4 out of 5 by lindalm The suggestion I have is when packing this product, please, please put the scooper at the top of the product. When its in the middle of the product it makes a mess trying to find it and thus there is a waste of protein powder. I have recommended this to several friends because the product itself is great.

It ruins the taste of whatever I put it into but It makes me feel good and energized. I mean It is not delicious but it is not so horrible as some people say either. It is eatable and very convenient when I have to leave running late in the mornings.

I normally have whey protein but thought I would try pea protein. In my opinion it tasted like sawdust. It was so horrible I cannot imagine this product on the market. I read the reviews before I purchased it. I wish I never spent the $20.

I have been using this as my protein breakfast each day for a couple of years. I add a banana and other fruit, a liquid (juice or water) and blend it up. This is a quick and healthy breakfast.

This tastes OK and mixes well in a smoothie with a blender or bullet mixer. I find I must add 4 vegetable enzyme caps to my smoothie to make this easy to digest. You must add your own flavor and sweetness which makes this protein powder versatile. 2 for the price of 1 really made this a great value.

Most protein powders have all kinds of other ingredients. This has NOTHING added. That makes it perfect for those trying to avoid other allergens.
Also, this pea protein powder is a protein isolate and protein isolates are the ONLY type of vegetable protein that the Bary Sears ZONE diet says provide adequate protein levels to stay in the Zone. Hooray.
Finally, this powder mixes well, AND the Swanson support team is amazing.

My doctor gave this product two thumbs up, and I use it in my smoothie everyday. Yes, it is a little chalky, but it does not bother me. Great source of non animal protein.

Swanson, organic pea protein, is a super- fine powder, that mixes well in smoothies and provides me with the extra protein, that I was looking for, without always having to use proteins from milk.
It's great in green smoothies, like those made with kale and banana. Just one scoop provides 15 extra grams of protein too. I love it!

Adding a scoop of this protein powder to the soup is one way of enjoying the product. Starting with cold soup, I stirred in the powder and then warmed the soup together with shredded cheddar cheese. Another way I tried is to add a full teaspoon of miso after the soup, with powder, is warmed up.

Without getting into the quality of this product, it taste horrible! And this is coming from someone who takes cod liver oil daily. So I'll give you the benefit if the taste is not top shelf but this stuff is horrible!

Swanson has lots of great products just as I'm sure the quality of this is excellent for a CHEAP source of protein but the taste .. the taste ... I can drink Chlorella and water straight up tastes fine to me but pea powder ... no matter how I tried to mask the taste ... even with apple juice ... let's just say it tastes like pulverized cardboard.

I can surely pass it with my matcha green tea but it does taste and smell not fresh more like stored grain.
Other than that, it does the job.
