Turmeric Root Powder Organic
I ordered this bc of the great price on 1lb. I use it on my eggs, in chili etc... The taste is fine, but its kind of an acquired tatse. If you like mustard, you should like turmeric. The bag can become an issue when you seal it, but is fine with a bag clip. I use it in my food mainly for the many health benefits rather than for the taste.

Great stuff, great value and a great taste. I put this in a spend spice jar and sprinkle it on almost anything. It plays a supporting flavor role in any dish but still lends a nice contribution to the meal. I really like it on my morning grapefruit.

THIS IS A GREAT HERB AND I CANNOT IMAGINE LIFE WITHOUT IT. I USE THE POWDER ON FOOD AND ALSO TAKE 10 CAPSULES EVERY DAY. IT IS ONE OF THE 3 ESSENTIAL HERBS FOR ME.

another great value
We like both this Starwest and the Swanson brand, but if you use a lot like we now do, this one pound bag is a great value. Whenever our turmeric spice shaker is running low, we scoop some out of this big bag and refill the bottle.

Turmeric has always been a
favorite of mine, and this product is the
best value I have ever seen. We mix a
spoonful with pepper and mustard and use
it in all of our meals. Very tasty and helps me
enjoy a healthy immune response. Great Value
on a great product - I will order again and again.

A lot of turmeric for a little money!
I got this 1 pound bag of organic turmeric, to actually replace the pill form of turmeric thinking it would cut down on the cost.
I learned very quickly that taking turmeric powder mixed in water was not an appealing option, because it tasted very bitter. I think I'll stick to the pills from now on. Now I have a pound of seasoning for cooking, though.
Also, when I opened the bag, the plastic zip-seal had come loose of the side of the bag. Maybe from the enzymes in the turmeric? Because of that, I rated this product 3 stars in convenience, because I now have to close the bag with a clothes-pin, which I do not really mind, but you or somebody else might not feel the same way.
I'm sure you could put all of the powder in a seperate container.
If you want a whopping 1 pound of organic turmeric powder for a really low price, here is an option for you. Keep in mind that the plastic zip-seal in the bag may come loose, so I'd find another way to store the turmeric powder.
