Living in Minnesota, vitamin D is necessary. I've been taking this for a couple years. This winter, out of curiosity I got my vitamin D levels checked at the Dr. The nurse called me back and said, "We never see this in Minnesota in the winter, but your vitamin D level is actually a bit high!" True absorption!

Sourced Naturally from Lanolin
This is one of my favorite products. I like the fact the ingredients are simple, edible and that the D3 is derived from lanolin (which comes from wool-bearing animals, most likely sheep).
Having my D tested at the doctor regularly, I had to bump it up to the 5,000 iu amount, especially during the winter here in the northern clime. In the summer I can back off a bit when I get more sunshine.

Just what I needed
Living in Alaska necessitates supplementing vitamin D3, and my doctor has recommended 4000-5000 IU a day for my aging bones. I was taking as many as 4 tablets a day to get that amount. This product allows me to just take one, and it's at a good price. I order in bulk when it goes on sale.

I liked it
My opinion of Vitamin D3 in general is not to over do it. 5000 IU seems excessive to take daily. Follow the directions and take it once every 3 to 5 days. Vitamin D stays in your system for a long time so don't sweat it if you miss your schedule of taking it. The product is a good one and I'd recommend to others who want hassle free vitamin D3 and don't want to pop a D pill every day. It was also priced right.
