Pea Protein - Unflavored
Healthy and non-offensive
Meets my requirements of non-GMO, no soy, wheat/gluten or artificial sweeteners; low in carbs, high in protein (24g). Has very little taste on its own, so my almond-milk shakes tasted like whatever I added to them (a big plus). Hard to shake or stir enough to get the lumps out, so best to prepare in a blender. Overall a good base for do-it-yourselfers. Just a little too pricey to earn my highest rating.

Good protien source
I use this in combination with rice protein in my wife's smoothies. She was told by one of her doctors to avoid dairy, so this product makes a fine substitute. It doesn't have the same protein by volume as whey but it should suffice for the average person's needs. It also adds a nice texture and flavor to the smoothies.

used it for a long time
This was a great protein. it was a lot cheaper than the Organic.. The price has been going up..
Maybe its' not Swansons fault. Maybe the Manufacturer raised its price. Its' still cheaper than other places

Pea protien DOES NOT store heavy metals.
So this is why I searched for a good, nut, bean, or seed protein. The lack of storage for heavy metals. NOW brand has proven themselves to me to be a great quality, reasonably priced product line. I am pleased with this product. My one complaint is that is mixes a bit powdery. That is my only complaint. ;)

Not buying this again
Do not like the taste of this and I normally can eat anything. Tempted to return it because of the taste factor, however, going to see if my husband can digest this. He has Crohns Disease and was getting upset stomach from his breakfast shake so time will tell if he can handle this. He didn't like the taste either, but it is a good source of protein. I also don't like that it is not organic. Doubt I will buy this again.

This stuff really works!
I've been on this stuff for a couple of years now, and all I have to say is that I love it!
So easy to digest, I've never had an upset stomach from it. And that's with having it with breakfast every morning and after every work-out.
As far as the taste goes, it doesn't really taste like anything to me. I know that some people have had problems with it having a very strong odor. This has only happened to me once, and that's only because I let moisture get to it. As long as you keep the powder dry and away from humidity, it will stay taste-free. (at least that's my experience)
It's cheaper than most other protein mixes out there, easier on your body, and pretty easy to hide in a smoothie or milkshake.
This will be my go-to for a long time.

Makes a great breakfast cookie
This product is on my "keep-it-stocked" pantry list.
I've found the most pleasant way to use it is as a flour substitute, rather than a drink addition.
Makes amazing cookies: With a fork, mash 1 banana with 1 scoop pea protein powder, 2 T flaxmeal, 1 T. almond or pumpkinseed butter, some vanilla, and a dash of salt & nutmeg. Add a few raisins to add a pop of sweetness. Flatten with your fork. Bake 325 @ 25 min. (6 cookies)
I also use it in my low carb pancake batter. Definitely recommend this brand.

Great protein powder!
When I add this pea protein powder to fresh fruit and some almond milk it makes a great breakfast that sticks with me until lunch! This is a very good value, I have not found this product for less money anywhere, the quality is great!

A lot of people seem to think this pea protein tastes good in a smoothie. I disagree. I think it tastes awful in a smoothie. However, I've discovered that you can use it as a gluten free flour instead. For example, I used a regular brownie recipe, and replaced half of the flour with this pea protein, and the other half with almond meal (on a 1:1 ratio for both), and they turned out amazing! It can be used to replace some of the flour in muffins or pancakes, etc... I like that I can reduce the carbs in these types of applications at the same time as increasing the protein.

Great sources of amino acids
This pea protein is great after a workout. You get plenty of amino acids.

finally! - the perfect unflavored protein mix
I've been looking for an unsweetened, unflavored protein mix for a long time - and this fits all my needs.
It took a few days to get used to, but now I drink it every morning with an unsweetened cocoa beverage mix.

Not much competition...
when it comes to price and quality. It goes great in my slushy consisting of a banana, blueberries, strawberries, a tangerine, wheat grass, any 100% fruit drink and anything else you choose to put in your slushy. I've loved this product for years. In my opinion, there is no substitute.

No taste, no extras, no problem. You can mix this protein with any type of juice-vegetable or fruit-or simply water. It mixes easily with anything. What a great value for a solid protein.

Works great, take in the morning , just before going to work.

Non-GMO, good quality, mixes reasonably well for a pea protein, and economical. My only regret is that it does not come in a five-pound container.

After returning to a vegan diet, I needed a qualify protein supplement for my protein shakes. This one fills the bill and more. One huge problem I have is the fact that I am completely lactose intolerant and whey caused me extreme problem which I didn't realize until I went vegan again. so I was left to find an alternative. I was very pleased to find pea protein. It is economical, not highly processed, no extra additives, pretty neutral flavor and works well as an appetite suppressant. Also because peas are a complex and slow burning carb/protein, I don't have any peaks and drops with my post workout shake.
Love this product, will come back to it again and again.
By the way, it is a great additive to pizza dough so that you can get a good protein source with your vege or vegan pizza!

Pretty flavorless in a good way. Blends well with anything. I've gotten used to mixing it with cinnamon powder, calcium powder, and coconut milk. It's great and filling. I will admit it takes a while to "stir" it down. So if you could shake it (or if you had the time to blend it!) that would probably make your smoothies/drinks, etc. more fulfilling!

This product is perfect for our virgin diet. We use it everyday. Great price!

I was looking for a great, vegan protein option that didn't break the bank...and I found it. This protein really holds up in comparison with other protein powders on the market, in terms of grams of protein per serving as well as the amino acid profile. The fact that it *only* contains pea protein and not 100 other unnecessary ingredients is really great as well. There isn't much of a taste (which is really nice) - I blend it with my smoothies and it's fine. I just ordered it again and will continue to use it.
