Works well
The wife takes this product on a regular basis and seems very pleased with the results. When she gets down to a dozen or so caplets she always reminds me that it is time to re-order.
Overall, I am very pleased that this product has been made available by Swanson's. A name that I have come to completely trust for a quality product at a fair price.

Great product.
One of these at bedtime helps keep my mood elevated and also helps me sleep. I used to take the 500mg tablet, twice a day, but it is easier, for me, to just take this at bedtime.

Didn't Like
For some reason Now's 1,000 tablet form did not work for me. I normally use Now's 500mg CAPSULES and these work great for me (as expected). It was horrible not having the effective Tryptophan in my system that I'm used to. Since many people like this product it's obvious different formulas work differently for each person. If you're new to Tyrptophan be sure to find what works for you. I've used Tyrptophan for over 5 years, and with both Swanon's and Now 500mg CAPSULES I get great results, and those effects where felt in just three days. This product fell completely flat for me even the next day.

I Sleep Better
I take 2 of these every night before bed. I had started not being able to sleep well and when I would wake up in the middle of the night I could fall back to sleep. Now I fall back to sleep easily. I make sure I am never without these!

L-Tryptophan 1000 mg by NOW
Waking up in the middle of the night---or even upon waking up near morning---I nearly always can quickly return to sleep with just one 1000 mg. tablet and have used the NOW brand for years.

Swanson brand L-Tryptophan
I substituted this brand of L-tryptophan because you were temporarily out the "Swanson" brand that I have been purchasing over 2 years.
This brand had no effect on me and now I am stuck with it. What a waste of money.
i hope you have the Swanson brand that I am used to real soon.

Gets the job done!
Both my husband and I have problems getting to sleep at times. This L-Tryptophan works well.

Works!
I have to take 2 of these, but they do work for sleep. I will occasionally get up in the night if I have to, but I can usually fall quickly back to sleep. I've already purchased 2 bottles of this from Swanson and I plan to order more. Can't beat the price! :)

GREAT FOR SLEEP
. I HAD RUN OUT AND WAS HAVING TROUBLE SLEEPING FOR A COUPLE WEEKS. AS SOON AS I STARTED TAKING THIS AGAIN, I SLEEP VERY WELL.7 TO 8 HOURS OR MORE MOST NIGHTS.

I bought this amino acid to help with relaxation, so I get a better night sleep. I have to say it does relax me. I like Now Foods products.
