L-Lysine is an essential amino acid, which means that it cannot be manufactured by the body. It must be obtained through the diet or by supplementation. Lysine is one of the most well known amino acids and is an essential component of proteins. Contains no sugar, salt, starch, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, soy, milk, egg, shellfish or preservatives.

Very Effective I use this product daily. I wish they weren't so huge and of a chalky texture which combined makes it harder to swallow. I've found a product with equal strength in a smaller size pill and a smoother texture but it's more expensive. January 21, 2012
Hard to find dosage This Lysine 1000 mg. pill is large but easy to swallow, it is an oblong shaped pill with rounded edges. I could not find this info anywhere online and thought I'd pass it along, as I am picky about the shape of my pills. I will order these again. February 24, 2010
