Ingredients: Garbanzo bean flour, potato starch, corn starch, white sorghum flour, tapioca flour, evaporated cane juice, fava bean flour, xanthan gum, active dry yeast, potato flour, sea salt, guar gum, soy lecithin.

Baking Instructions by Hand for Conventional Ovens

1 2/3 cups warm water (110°) Milk (cow, rice or soy)

1 whole Egg plus enough Egg Whites to equal 3/4 cup

1/4 cup melted Butter or Vegetable Oil

1 tsp. Cider Vinegar

Place contents of package in large bowl of heavy-duty, tabletop mixer. Remove yeast packet and add yeast to warm milk in separate bowl. Let foam for 5 minutes. Add eggs, melted butter or oil, vinegar, and yeast-milk mixture to bread mix. Mix with regular beaters (not dough hook) at medium speed for 3 minutes, scraping down sides of bowl with spatula as necessary. Place dough in greased 9 x 5-inch nonstick pan. Smooth top of dough with wet spatula. Cover with oiled aluminum foil or plastic wrap and let rise in warm (75-80°) place until dough is level with top of pan (approximately 25-35 minutes). Remove cover. Bake at 375° for 60-65 minutes (do not underbake). Cover with foil after 10 minutes to prevent over-browning. To test for doneness, tap loaf with fingernail. A crisp, hard sound indicates a properly baked loaf. Turn loaf out on to wire rack and cool thoroughly before slicing.

Baking Instructions for 1-1/2 lb Bread Machine

1 2/3 cups Milk (cow, rice, or soy)

1 whole Egg plus enough Egg Whites to equal 3/4 cup

1/4 cup melted Butter or Vegetable Oil

1 tsp. Cider Vinegar

Remove yeast packet from package. Have all ingredients at room temperature. Follow your specific machine instructions for adding yeast and the liquid and dry ingredients in the proper order. Be sure to whisk milk, eggs, melted butter or oil, and vinegar together thoroughly until very smooth before adding to bread machine. Set controls for setting recommended by manufacturer or setting you prefer. Remove baked bread from bread machine and cool thoroughly on wire rack before slicing.

Homemade Wonderful Gluten Free Bread Mix 4.5 5 9 10
Awesome gluten free bread Due to additional food allergies, we made this bread gluten free, egg free, and dairy (cow's milk free#. We used the non-egg powdered substitute and almond milk. The process of making the bread is not quite the same as a wheat flour bread as the dough remains very sticky and no need to knead the bread. Just mix and spread in the loaf pan. It smells great baking. I originally only ordered one package and my kids #age 11 and 9) begged me to order more. Almost every decent gluten free bread pre-made on the market includes egg in the ingredients. My daughter had never been able to take a sandwich on a field trip. She can't wait to bring "real" bread! Plus she likes it. The texture is moist and the bread stays moist over multiple days versus the dry and crumbly versions of gluten free bread. It slices well and is excellent toasted. I believe another reviewer posted that when you don't make it in a bread maker, you an end up with big holes. That did happen to us also; however it still tastes great. If you are gluten free, this is a definite item to try. We did and don't regret it and just received the 10 I reordered. April 3, 2014
wonderful This bread lives up to it's wonderful name, we are gluten free and embrace any product that makes us feel like we don't have to give up flavor or texture to eat healthier. Love this bread! March 15, 2014
gluten free bread I agree with some of the other reviews that this bread is too crumbly after baking. So I added about a tablespoon of Xanthan Gum, and that solved that problem beautifully! I also like bread to have a bit of sweet taste, so I added a couple tablespoons of sugar. The basic mix is good. With a little variations, it is a wonderful gluten free bread mix. I just pour everything into the bread machine and the smell of baking bread soon fills the air. September 9, 2013
Best Bread Ever I bake a loaf every week as everything I eat is gluten free these days. It is yummy and fits into my budget. July 14, 2013
Truly Wonderful Bread! This product is perfectly named! It is truly a wonderful, gluten-free bread. I bake it in a French Bread pan which gives it a nice crust and we love it! It makes great toast, too! (if there is any left over) I usually add a quarter cup of ground flax to it, just because I think it makes it a little lighter. I keep extra packages in my freezer so I always have it on hand. February 28, 2013
wonderful This is a good item, have used for years. Here is the place for the price is right. May 29, 2012
great in the bread machine After being sick and tired of overspending on ready made shelf- stable or frozen gluten -free breads that always made me feel I was sacrificing taste for my health, one day I decided to buy this mix and make myself a loaf in the oven. I've never baked a yeast bread for fear of all the work and waiting involved, but because I had tried a good home-made gluten-free bread in another country, I decided maybe it was worth it. That first loaf with this mix was EASY TO MAKE, CAME OUT BEAUTIFULLY SHAPED, and TASTED AND SMELLED SO GOOD! I was hooked. Unfortunately, several loaves later, I didn't have that beginner's luck and each time my loaf came out with holes in it that made it difficult to use as sliced bread for sandwiches. I don't know what I was doing wrong... so finally I received a bread machine for Christmas and started using this same mix in it with WONDERFUL RESULTS EACH TIME! It SLICES NICELY for sandwiches (about 1/4" wide) and DOESN'T FALL APART EASILY. I sometimes add raisins, or flaxseeds (whole or grounded), or cinnamon to it. And because I don't want to waste the yolks, I use whole eggs rather than the whites as suggested on the package. I also use either rice milk or almond milk to keep it dairy and soy free. DEFINITELY A WINNER IN MY EYES! April 1, 2012
Excellent when you are in hurry and cannot make your own mix. December 13, 2011
Disappointing I followed the directions carefully, and was pleased with how the bread rose. It smelled wonderful while baking, and we could hardly wait for it to cool so we could sample it. It tasted much less wonderful than it smelled, but we expected some compromises, It was our first bread since starting the gluten-free regimen so we wanted it to be worth the effort. The real problem was that in spite of careful wrapping, it was dry, crumbly, and SCstale the next day. Mold appeared on a leftover piece within 3 days. I salvagd it by crumbling and freezing what was left, and using it as bread crumbs on baked chicken. November 13, 2011
