My son has wheat allergies. I use spelt in bread and cake recipes and he can eat it with no problems. If the bread is too grainy, add mashed potatoes.

This spelt flour makes the best biscuits when cooked with coconut milk that can also be purchased from Swanson. The biscuits are always moist and delicious and complete my breakfast of eggs and oatmeal. I would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to eat healthier without losing a great tasting breakfast.

In eliminating wheat products from my diet, I've begun using more healthy alternatives. Spelt flour has become a staple in my pantry for baking without the harmful gluten. The price for the flour at Swanson is better than purchasing it at my local supermarket; making a healthy dietary lifestyle more attainable.

Found a recipe for spelt bread using milk, salt, honey , baking soda and mixing - no kneading no rising.. it is a dark bread-delish; I slice and freeze also. Swanson good price, arrives quickly.

I don't like wheat, so I rotate other grains. Spelt has a very pleasant taste and like all grains, use it in small amounts in baking breads.

I used this flour to make brownies and they came out perfect. I hear that it is a little easier on the digestive system and more nutritious than regular white or wheat flour... So that is a plus too!
