"A cheap mans cysteine. I only buy methione when I am out of cysteine and/or it's not on sale. The body does convert methione into cysteine, so it's a cheaper form of it. How much get converted? That I don't know, but it seems to be an adequate subsitute."

"Good vegan source of the sulfur bearing amino acid so necessary for thiamine,biotin,insulin,mRNA,iron-sulfur clusters in electron-transporting proteins and other important,but not discussed, functions. Few are concerned about sulfur deficiency, but this product will provide good supplementation."
