Good With Vegetable Soup
I really like this protein. I add it to hot soups, bean dishes, etc. If you are adding this to a fruit smoothie, you may not be happy with it. I feel it is best used with vegetables, and can impart a nice creamy texture to the right dish. It is a great way to have more protein to your diet in general. I keep this in addition to whey protein.

Best Protein Powder on the Market!
I bought the Now Pea Protein powder after much research. It has the highest grams of protein per scoop (28!) I am allergic to wheat, gluten, some dairy products, so whey was out; also I avoid soy. I mix the pea protein in my blender with water, ice, non sweetened coconut milk, 1/2 a banana and strawberries or mixed berries; a tsp of vanilla and 1 packet of NuStevia. It is wonderful; I can finally have a "milk shake" again! The protein takes on the taste of what ever you add to it. I make home made protein bars with it and you can't taste it at all in the bars. Magnificent product; incredible price! Please don't ever stop making it and selling it through Swanson's!

love this product
This is the best value protein power made from pea that I have found. It mixes well, even in just cold juice in a shaker bottle. I love to make a morning smoothie with frozen peaches, spinach, kale, carrot and pea protein. Yummy way to start your day!

Great product
This product is the first protein powder I have purchased, so I was a little anxious wondering whether I would like it. Bought this & stevia liquid to make protein smoothies for the PINK diet. I love it! The blueberry smoothies are delicious! Swanson price $10 bucks less than local retailers too.

A great Vegetarian/Vegan Protein
I supplement my fitness program with protein supplements and when I became a vegetarian I had difficulty finding an affordable product that was vegetarian . This product is affordable and works effectively. It does have a chalky texture, which isn't a problem for me...but when my mother tried it she couldn't get it down due to the texture (She is more sensitive to texture issues). I am going to buy this product over and over again.....great product.

Has to be something tastier!
I'll start with the pros.... the protein is less expensive than other options, it dissolves well, and it's all natural and vegetarian. The cons....well, it tastes like ground up peas. I'm used to mixing protein with fruits, rice milk, or green smoothies, but this protein just ruins it. The only way I can take it is by mixing it with 8 oz water and slamming it! I'm hoping to find another kind after this is gone that tastes better when mixed with other ingredients.

This thing is HUGE
This product is a great value, it's packed with protein and fiber and it's vegan! The package is way bigger than I expected for the price. The taste is still kind of powdery (like all protein powders) but is otherwise not bad.

Protein Rich
Nice alternative to whey powder. I wish it were made from organic peas, but non-GMO is acceptable for the price. Unflavored pea protein is kind of grainy tasting, so beware this doesn't have an extremely pleasane tast, although it is easy to get used to. Easier for me to digest than whey

Now Foods Pea Protein protein supplement
Unflavored, unsweetened allows you to add anything you want for a nutritious drink. I use organic Stevia for sweetening. Mixes easily with any liquid.

good product-could be better
I recently realized that I can't tolerate whey protein powder and I use it 3 times a day.
I tried soy but it's not great. So I tried this one.
It's good in that I don't have any gut issues with it and I like the idea that it's veg based.
The con is that it is so grainy/gritty.
I can get over the flavor since I used to use soy powder (much worse flavor).
I find the flavor to be fairly neutral with a hint of dried peas when used alone in water, which is how I use it. When mixed with something like yogurt, it's pretty invisible, taste-wise.
But since I simply like to mix w/ water and slam it down, the grittiness was my problem.
LUCKY for me I own a Vita-Mix blender (the jet engine of blenders) and took 1/2 the container and ground the heck out of the powder, and then did the other half. MUCH BETTER!!!!
It doesn't settle out of solution so quickly now and it goes down a lot easier. (used to make me sort of cough with all the grit in my throat)
So if the company would just powder-ize it a little more, I think it would be perfect!
I will definitely keep on buying it!!!

Excellent buy
I have been buying various pea protein and this has the best number of servings for the price. The consistency is similar to others and the only thing that would make it better is a vanilla flavoring!

Good percentage of protein per serving
It would be great if this protein powder were organic. It would cost more but I'd still buy it. It has 28 grams of protein per serving. Most powders have half that much.

pea protein
You have to add other things into it to drank, chalky & makes my stomach upset. Will not purchase again.

Best Protein Powder
I have tried all the protein powders out on the market and have found pea protein to the best for me. This one is great and the price is phenomenal!

Great stuff, great buy, great science experiement
I started using pea protein with the Unikey brand (the "fat flush" Gittleman's brand). That stuff was three times the price and horrible tasting. This stuff is very bland, mixes great with anything. Love it! And every time I dig the scoop in, the powder clinging to the sides has this stalagmite effect and if I put my finger near it, it all moves towards, as if magnetically attracted, and then it will start flying off in bits, clearly some excited protons and electrons. It adds a bit of amusement to my morning. One of these days I'll make an effort to find out what that's all about! It makes great smoothies and is very cost effective. Buy it!

Almost Perfect!
This has everything I want & need. I love the amount of protein, price is great, & best of all, it's NON-GMO! That's the main reason I bought it! That being said, I'm not at all happy with the taste or smell!! I make a smoothie in the Vita-Mix with frozen strawberries, but all I can taste is this! But since everything else about it is so great, it's worth it to me to just hold my breath & chug it down, and I do every single morning!

Wonderful choice
This protein product is excellent for mixing because the taste is bland makeing it good by itself in milk or water, mixed with foods or other sweetners. It is wonderful to have another source of pure Non GMO vegetable protein.

Personally wouldn't order again
Didn't care for the feel of the powder. First time we'd tried pea protein.
Just an aside that has nothing to do with a review really but was kind of weird - when the hand held mixer was stationary, bits of the powder kind of flew off it as though there was a charge to the powder. Which actually would make you think it was good - live. ? . . .

Was very pleased with product!
I'm really very happy wih this product!
It dissolves very well when blended with juice.
I've used oj, mango, and coconut.
No yucky taste at all and not gritty.
Does certainly make it thicker, but not to the point where it's unpleasant.
Highly recommend it!

The taste...
I don't know why people are saying it has a neutral taste, because it tastes absolutely horrible. The first time I used it I mixed it with a glass of milk, just to see how it was, AND OMG WAS IT TERRIBLE!
It's super chalky compared to all over proteins I've had and a lot of particles were stuck all over the sides of the glass, so I had to fill it with water to get all of it. After one sip, I had to plug my nose to get the rest of it down.
I now mix it with a smoothie made up of like a cup of frozen strawberries, about 3/4 cup of milk, and a 4 oz cup of vanilla yogurt, and even THEN I can only add about 1/3 of a scoop of this stuff too it, otherwise it overpowers everything and you can't even taste the strawberries.
I'll add 1/3 scoop to my regular protein powder after a workout for the added protein, but anymore and it overpowers the chocolate flavor. At least this stuff is packed full of prtein, othewise i would have returned it, it's that bad.

Pleasantly surprised
I wanted to do the best I could to eliminate as much dairy products from my diet as I could, including the whey protein drinks I had grown accustomed to.
I was pleasantly surprised by this pea protein! It is packed with well-balanced aminos, which seemed to compared favorably to whey.
I like the fact that this doesn't have any mystery ingredients. Bear in mind that it is unsweetened, so it's quite bland. So plan on adding your own sweetener--I use stevia, and sometimes a bit of pure maple syrup or agave.
I does have a slightly chalky consistency, but that didn't bother me at all. I mix it with half unsweetened almond or soy milk, and half water. I add stevia, and voila! Sure, it's not as tasty as a smoothie from Jamba Juice, but it is packed with power and WAY FEWER calories.
Oh, and I also add it to my hot "power breakfast" cereal, which is quinoa flakes, brown rice, ground flax seed and corn meal.
Goodbye whey, it was nice knowin' ya'!

Best Overall Product
Finally! I have tried several different protein powders and this one wins the best overall value category. The price is super, the fact that it is plant based agrees with my digestion, and the best part is that I can tell a marked difference in my well-being.
The fact that it is 28g protein per scoop is very impressive, for so low a price.
The only inconvenience is that this product is "dustier" than anything. It gets all over the place if I'm not careful.
I have found that it is most palatable with flavored almond or soy milk, although I'm trying to stay away from soy.
I work a 12 hour day so drinking this concoction on my way out the door in the morning gives me a great jumpstart. If I skip it I can really tell the difference in my energy.
