it works I'm so happy to find a deodorant that doesn't stain my black clothes, that is harmless and effective. I like the fact that doesn't have perfume to mask bad odors. But be sure you are very clean before you apply it otherwise it will not work, protection lasts 24 hrs . It doesn't matter how strong your odor is, it works! I gave one to my Dad and it works for him too! May 12, 2012

OMG! Awesome! I've been using "the Crystal" every since I worked in a Health food store in the '90's! It lasts forever, and is great for situations like traveling or camping where you might not be able to shower everyday, it keeps the smell away :) I had one problem the crystal got stuck, so I wrote to the company and she said to run warm water around the base and top...and that worked! Unstuck my crystal! I will never be without one and they have travel sizes and all sorts of new products now. Great value! Healthful no aluminum! Works! I will never be without my crystal! Works just as good, naturally! I really like this deodorant. At first it's weird that it has no scent, but then you get used to it! (fragrances are full of chemicals anyway!) I have yet to find a deodorant that controls my perspiration completely (even the so-called extra strength formulas didn't work for me - they just smelled really strong but did nothing for wetness.) This product doesn't mask smell, but it doesn't let you smell anyway. It controls wetness just as good as other deodorants, so if you're someone who perspires when they're nervous, it's just like other deodorants in the way that it doesn't fully prevent wetness, but it's a very healthy and chemical-free trade out for the more costly deodorants! Very pleased with this product - I don't like chemicals in my body; it probably even works better than other deodorants in the way that it prevents smell rather than masks it with strong fragrances. Great for sensitive skin I've been using this more less everyday (during the worst of the hot, humid days I use Almay or Mitchum clear gels) and this allows you to sweat (important for profuse sweaters like me, without the odor. The added plus is no staining undergarments/clothing. Only wish there was a better way of having the lower portion of the push-up containers contents secured; it usually falls out and you have to use your fingers to apply it. February 14, 2012

Awesome! This is, by far, the best deodorant I've ever used. 'Yes', your skin has to be wet (or run the end of the stick under running water before applying). Apply it right after a shower or bath before you dry off. The crystal stick lasts an INCREDIBLY long time. There's no perfume in it to compete with your other fragrances. And NO white stuff under your arms to rub off onto your clothes. I was purchasing the Crystal at my local Trader Joe's, and T.J.s no longer carries it. I bought "Tom's of Maine" brand, and it doesn't work at ALL. I plan on returning the Tom's and purchasing this from Swanson's from now on. February 11, 2012

Crystal Body Deodorant Rock Excellent value, and works just as well as any of these "rock" products. As for a few other reviews that complain about having to wet the product each time before using, there aren't any of these products that can be used dry; they ALL have to be used wet. If they weren't wet, nothing would allow the minerals to be able to be rubbed off the stick onto your skin. Also, they all seem to have the mineral salts (alum) as the main ingredient; I have not run across any yet that did not have this in them. There is debate on this type of product so I don't know for sure about the alum, but it's still a fact that it's a healthier choice than regular antiperspirant/deodorant products from the regular stores. This works best if you dampen your underarms with a little water before applying (you don't have to apply the water directly to the crystal) and then just rub the crystal around your underarm area for a while (like at least 20 seconds per area). If you don't rub it around enough, not enough mineral salts will be deposited onto your skin to give you maximum protection. Make sure to dry the crystal off on a dry towel after each and every use to avoid a bad smell on the crystal. If you don't do this and get a bad smell, simply rinse the crystal under running water and then dry it off, and the smell will disappear. February 8, 2012

Works for me! Works great for me, even during my workouts. One thing people need to keep in mind is that this is MEANT to let you sweat, it just keeps the smell at bay. I've had no complaints from people that I have BO. :) November 22, 2011

It works!!! i have already recommended this stuff to my family. I sweat all the time and no deodorant really works very well for me, especially 'natural' types. I've tried 3 aluminum free deodorants from 5-20 dollars each, and this works by far the best, and its the cheapest with least ingredients. I have found that it works best after you shower since your skin is already moist. I am so ecstatic that i found this stuff!!! TRY IT. August 8, 2011

My Favorite Deodorant I tried this because I was looking for a less chemically toxic deodorant. What a great product! It truly works for me and I work outside when it is hot and I do get sweaty. No scent, no mess. And the stick lasts for ages! Great value! May 25, 2011

Lasts a really long time! This is a good product that really does work as it is suppose to. For me it easily lasts most of the day for eliminating odor. Since it is paraben free, I use it daily. It needs to be put on after showering or washing with soap and water for best results and I found if I wipe off the top of my crystal occasionally, it removes any left over body scent. The stick lasts a really long time...so it makes it a great buy for the money. October 22, 2010

Hard to believe This deodorant does what it supposed to do. You wet it slightly and apply it under your arms. There is no perfume, no sticky residue or irritants AND no stains on your tee-shirts or other clothing. The odor protection lasts all day for me. However, I don't perspire profusely like other women. Something to think about. And the most surprising thing is that it lasts for a really long time. I've had mine for almost 2 years! April 11, 2010
