Rated 5 out of 5 by Farkentarkle My preferred xylitol
I prefer Xlear brand because the granules are a bit smaller and more uniform. Some other brands I've tried have some large pieces which take too long to dissolve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NewNana Best xylitol ever!!
We have just purchased our 5th bag of this wonderful stuff!! I cook with it almost every day. We have been sugar-free now for almost 2 years, and plan to stay this way for the rest of our lives. This xylitol allows us to have desserts, pancakes, and other sweet treats without that harmful sugar!!

I switched to xylitol instead of sugar or stevia and am very pleased with the flavor, texture and baking stability of this product. Closest thing to sugar without the after taste of stevia or the calories in sugar. It's the only thing I use now ;)

While the cost is certainly higher than sugar, I love that I can have the taste of sugar without the negative health implications! It did take my body a little bit of time to get used to it (loose stools and a bit of a headache the first few times I used it). But, after my system adjusted, I have no negative "side effects" and can enjoy all my "sweets."

You don't need to look any further to find the best sugar substitute. This is it! Glycemic Index of 7, non-GMO and Vegan. It's great that you can measure it in recipes just like sugar.

Works as a sugar substitute in recipes. However, this brand has coarser grains than others, so it can leave a gritty texture in some recipes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by midgeh I use XyloSweet-Natural Xylitol in my coffee and tea. I also use it to make homemade apple butter because it is lower glycemic than sugar and neither my husband nor myself can taste the difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by czlady great sweetener
I changed from using lots of sugar in my coffee to xlear. I started by using half sugar and half xlear but quickly left out the sugar. I think it sweetens great with fewer calories. I can not use artificial sweeteners; I get a bitter taste that wont go away but do not have that problem with xlear.

I have been a longtime user of Xylitol and find it to be the best of non-sugar sweeteners. Good price at this website.

My favorite sweetener & the pricing is good at Swanson. I appreciate that it is natural & actually tastes just like sugar. No weird taste here people!

I use this for anything I want to sweeten. It has no aftertaste and can be measured like sugar. It doesn't dissolve quite as easily as sugar so a little more stirring may be required.

I was looking for a substitute for white sugar and tried the xylitol. I tried the Swanson brand made from Beech first and liked it, but switched to the Xlear because of the lower price. Both make a very usable substitute for anyone wanting to cut back on sugar. I have used it to sweeten drinks and even in a gluten free cookie recipe and was very satisfied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mski Ingredient source in one review
I noticed one reviewer said birch trees are source. I called this company not too long ago and they do use corn as a source albeit non-gmo, so they say. Birch trees and corn are both used for sourcing xylitol. Check for yourselves if this is a concern as it is for me. I'm not sure I trust corn to always be non-gmo as there are no boundaries in nature.

Based on my own research, I think that XyloSweet is better for me than sugar. I love it because it tastes like sugar. It doesn't have the bitter artificial sweetener taste that stevia has.

This Xylitol is granulated and very easy to use. I use it in coffee and sprinkled on cereal. I like the fact that it is made in the United States from birch trees and not from corn.
