Phosphatidylcholine
Also known as: Phosphatidyl Choline
Phosphatidylcholine (PC) is a type of lecithin, which consists mainly of the phospholipids phosphatidyl-choline and glycerophosphocholine. These are essential building blocks for all cell membranes, and therefore play an important role in several vital cellular functions such as signaling, transport and energy. In the body, PC helps our cells communicate, digest fats and absorb fat soluble vitamins such as vitamin A.
