Omega 7
Also known as: Omega 7 fatty acids, vaccenic acid, palmitoleic acid
Omega 7 fatty acids are a group of non-essential omega-7 fats that can be found in some types of fish oil, evening primrose, borage seed and black currant seed oils. Two main types of omega-7 fatty acids exist: palmitoleic acid and vaccenic acid. Omega 7 fatty acids play a variety of roles in the body. Some studies suggest they may provide benefits for cardiovascular health and skin conditions such as acne and psoriasis.
