Coffee Filters
Also known as: Unbleached Coffee Filters
Coffee filters (also known as coffee papers) are paper filters that contain small holes. They are responsible for separating the coffee grounds from the liquid coffee. There are two basic types of coffee filters, bleached and unbleached. Bleached filters are noticeably whiter and give the coffee a cleaner, brighter flavor. Unbleached filters are a little off-white in color and give the coffee a thicker, heavier body. The most commonly used coffee filter sizes are 4, 6, 9 and 12 cup. The sizes are measured in ounces.
