I bought this on the recommendation that it is less likely to cause diarrhea than other forms of Magnesium. The recommended dose is one in the afternoon and two at night. I can't take more than one per day without diarrhea. I'm not in favor of taking megadoses of anything anyway, and my diet is excellent, so it isn't a big deal.
I do seem to have fewer leg cramps at night and I'm waiting for the mental clarity to kick in!

Read an article about the combination Magnesium and L-Threonate. Since Swanson carried it I bought it and I am very satisfied with this product in comparison with the Magnesium Citrate, which gave me a loose stool!

This really works! I'm 67 and been taking it for about 2 years now. I recall names places and events from many years ago that I thought had forgotten. Also, helps with current events and processing information a lot faster. This is not snake oil and highly recommend it. I also noticed that I have very vivid, in color dreams and no problems sleeping. I usually take one in the morning and one at night. Best price is with Swansons!

I still forget things, but I remember that I forgot them way sooner now. So I do still forget the grocery list, but I remember that I forgot it at the bottom of the stairs, instead of in the middle of the grocery store. Improvement, yes? I do like the dreams that are coming back. I can even remember some of them!

I take one of these at bedtime. Seems to calm me down the next day. I also take one 5-HTP and one Lemon Balm, Passion Flower, Skullcap Complex. Also, I made a powder of Melatonin, GABA, Tryptophan, DHEA, D3 and Suntheanine. I take about one capsule of that powder too. I tend to be hyper and this regimen mellows me out.

This version of Magtein seems to have improved my memory, taken with Alpha-GPC daily. It's pricey, but I will continue, as long as I see benefit.

After reading about Mg-L threonate on Mercola's site I decided to give it a try. Kinda expensive; but I imagine Swanson has the best prices. I take just two in the morning and I take melatonin at night. I do have pretty vivid dreams. I took a long hike after my morning dose. I felt more energized than normal. I like the pep I get after taking this.

I was willing to give the Magnesium Threonate and Alpha GPC a serious try for a few weeks, and now I have been using them daily for several months. It took a couple weeks, but when they kicked in, the increased level of focus, energy, memory retention, and cognitive ability makes them worth the price, which by the way, is considerably cheaper with Swansons fine brand.
Before, my stressful hospital job had frazzled my nerves and exausted my mind to the point where I was forgetting numbers I had seen moments before. (I would like to point out I am in my mid 50s'). Now, I'm doing serious studies and retaining (AND understanding!) things that I never understood before using these great supplements.
I recommend them to the stressed- out worker, the student, and anyone else who wants a large improvement in their cognitive abilty. Whereas it is true, not all supplements will work for everyone, these have a growing reputation, and are well worth a try. Just allow them a few weeks to begin their good work, like any good supplement usually needs..
These supplements ROCK!

After reading exciting reviews about magnesium-L-threonate and the possibility of improved memory function I was most anxious to try it. As usual, I went to Swanson's as a trusted source and for pricing that would be more than competitive. As a 55 yr. old menopausal women, I found this product very helpful and have made it part of my daily extensive Swanson regiment.

I have taken Magtein magnesium for three months at 3 capsules per day. I did not find any noticeable difference in memory. This product has been only tested on animals and not on humans. I went back to my regular old magnesium. This product is too expensive for its purported benefits. I do not recommend.
